Agree with this. Lambert hasn't done much wrong IMO, he works hard and leaves everything on the pitch. No complaints at all.

Lambert wasnt signed to score lots of goals he was scored to add muscle and depth.

Pretty sure he hasn't played all 12 games in the league for us...?
Kono's contract is expiring soon - I reckon we will go back in for him but get him at a dirt cheap price.

I think whether we sign a top DM or not depends on whether we plan to play 4231 or 433/41212.
If we play just one holding player I say yes we need a top DM instead of Lucas.
If we plat two holding players I'd prefer to look to who plays next to Lucas. Right now we have Gerrard, Henderson, Can or Allen. Gerrard and Lucas doesnt work, Henderson is to limited and Can to raw. Allen is an ok pick as he is a good work horse and tidy player, but Allen offers little spark or creativity. I'd prefer to find a solid deep play maker to partner Lucas. Maybe Cabaye could do this but I think he'd prefer a more forward role. Another option is Javi Martinez.

if we play 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-2-1-2 is more about who is available further up to make that work. If we play 4-2-3-1 cos we can't get a striker then the 20mil that is supposedly usually available per window may as well go on a top dm... like you say to play with lucas.
