Although he's playing in the French league so will look better than he would in the Premier League, I genuinely think he would be a big improvement on Mario, Lambo and Borini. I also think Oriri and Studge would make a great partnership too; plenty of movement and energy plus both can score.

However, Liverpool and Lille have an agreement so I don't see him coming until the summer. I also wouldn't want to be pinning our hopes on a nineteen year old so in Origi's perspective, its not the best time to be coming.

Agree he is definitely a better fit for our team.

Apparently, we can recall him but it will incur a fee (approx £5m).

He can say it but the reality is his club have a deal and want him there. I am worried he's not giving then his all as they are struggling so how can we appraise this?

We are also struggling and Origi probably wants to play CL next year, so would far rather bust a gut for us than his loanee club. Fair enough. And the loan deal will have a break clause in it for sure, probably a couple of million. So it's not impossible.

If we wanted Origi now I'm sure Lille could be persuaded otherwise.

That sounds like quite a bit of supposition

I'd rather know he's bust a guy on thier pitch still, can anyone say that?

He's one of their best performing players apparently. But he's only scored 3 goals, unlike Lacazette who's banged in 11 so far.
Not saying Origi is the answer, but got to be a bette backup than Balotelli, Borini and Lambert with 1000 mins and zero ****ing goals.

Big fan of him, and he's the striker we should have gone for. Committee recommend him, Rodgers wanted Bony. Cracking players whose value will shoot up now.

Kevin Trapp has a release clause of €4m. Very promising German keeper - will be stupid not to sign him.

Lacazette is 4/5 years older than Origi.

A place where Origi could be useful is RWF.

Origi, a left footed forward, players on the right of a front three for Lille and this is commonly seen as his best position. He's quick, strong, a good dribbler and comes inside to shoot.

At the moment we have Sterling, Markovic, Borini and Lallana, as well as Ibe out on loan who are all more effective on the left, or should I say much left effective on the right. They are all right footed and prefer cutting in from the left wing to score.

Sturridge is very versatile. He is however better central or from the right.

A 433 could be much more effective and cutting edge if Origi was included on the right.

Origi:

‘It is not me who makes the decisions but if the club choose to let me go in January I would go, I would like to join Liverpool then,’ said Origi, who scored for Belgium in their 3-1 win over Iceland on Wednesday.

‘I said I would stay for the whole season and I wish to remain honourable in that, of course. But if there was a decision by the clubs, I would not say I wouldn’t like to go to Liverpool in January. Brendan Rodgers is in contact, he (speaks) regularly, he wants to know how I am feeling.

‘It makes me feel very good and wanted. Also the medical staff, they stay in touch for the same reason – to keep me involved, telling me that they are looking forward to me coming to the club. If there was that chance of joining Liverpool sooner I would take it.

‘I would love to move to Liverpool sooner rather than later. I am here at Lille. It’s fine, they are a good club and they have helped me. But I can’t wait to be playing in the Premier League because I can now see that it will suit me better. I think there are good things waiting for me with Liverpool.’

Origi, who has scored five goals in France this season, played for Lille in both their Europa League matches against Everton recently. He has made a point of watching how Liverpool have fared and believes their current position in the Barclays Premier League does not reflect their capabilities.

‘I have been following Liverpool closely, the events of what has been going on and I think they have had a difficult time,’ said Origi. ‘They have a team with a lot of talent, with a lot of good players. They also have a very, very good coach.

‘But they have had a lot of injuries and this has not helped them. It is difficult when you do not have a player like Daniel Sturridge, for instance. What I believe is that they just have to be more efficient but I also believe that it is only a matter of time before it comes.’

You could have been describing Sturridge there too!

99% sure he's right footed <doh>

Indeed. I'v described Origi as 'like Sturridge' before.

But if we were to play 433 I think Sturridge would be best in the middle as Balotelli's doing awful and Lambert is not athletic enough.

We shouldn't be attempting to play 433 when the diamond proved so successful for us. If you find a winning formula, don't change it! Only way you'll get me to agree to 433 is if we get a recognised DM, not that I don't want one anyway, no matter what formation we play <laugh>

Divock Origi: all you need to know about the latest Liverpool signing (Liverpool Echo)

You'd think with that title it would leave no stone unturned wouldn't you? But nope, no mention of which foot he prefers. He does say this though:

"His goal against Evian last season demonstrated what he's capable of, picking the ball up 45 yards from goal on the left-hand side before beating the full back, cutting inside and curling a right-footed effort beyond the goalkeeper"

I dont know, I'v just seen him hit some good ones with his left.

Hopefully he can use both. This is the one quality I still like about Glen Johnson, it doesn't matter which foot he uses because they are just as good (bad?) as each other.
