Gerrard will be gone this time next year, Allen will be perma-injured, Can will be loaned out as we do with all young talent and Sterling will have just been sold to RM for £90m.

So you're talking about signing the two next summer rather than January then? <laugh>

PS...I'd rather keep Raheem <ok>

Well, it is the "whatever transfer rumour you like thread", so who does everyone think we will sign in January 2017 transfer window?

I'd rather have kept Gnasher as well, but money talks. And it has a big gob.

In all seriousness, we need to crack on and do well this season, because the way Li'l Raheem is playing, there are going to be a lot of people after him.

The only clubs that could afford to buy him are Real, Barca and Man Utd. Real already have plenty of talented striking/wing options, Barca don't buy Brits and why would Raheem want to go to a lesser team in the form of Utd?

Hmmm. You could be right, but I think he's kept under the radar so far because he's young and hasn't long played to the standard he's showing now. If he continues to improve though, he'll draw a lot of attention.

I fully agree with your last point, of course. :)

Suarez was different though. As good a player as he is, he is 28, wanted to move and acted the **** a few times too many. Sterling is still only 19. I don't expect him to be a one club man (I'll ignore QPR considering he left them when he was 14!) but I do hope we get to keep him until at least his mid-twenties.
