Looks like Diomonde is staying at RBL, refusing to sell at any price. So even if he does prefer PSG the whole thing would be a waste of time and money as it'll take all summer and probably a record breaking fee to budge them.

Seen €150m now being quoted. They won't screw that out of PSG with us now out of the race, especially as Diomonde's agents are expecting a €50m cut themselves. But if I'm RBL, I'm quite rightly thinking, "If you [PSG] can afford to pay his agents €50m, then you can afford to pay us €50m more than Liverpool were prepared to pay."
Literally not worth half of that, ffs. If he's worth that much, why are PSG spending a fortune to replace him?

Now, yes. But only recently, and we have to compete if we want the best (whether or not we should be making stars rather than buying them is a different argument, and you probably know my view on it) - but the trend has been coming for years. It was bound to lead to this and will continue to escalate as far as I can see.
Mostly it's just a case of passing the money around between one another. Apart from agents - they're the flies in the ointment because they're not giving anything back.
I've seen Barcola on both wings, and if he came to Liverpool (hope not), I'd expect him to play both wings - a bit like Rio can. Diomande looks like he can play both wings too - I swear I saw him drifting around in one of IC's games.
