Look palace need to look after palace.

It's that simple. The player didn't make a fuss so was taken for granted by parish and glasner and thry didn't work to properly replace.

Palace are 100% losing both next summer for nothing and best of luck to them thereafter.
I think you can see whats coming in the summer. Glasner moaning he doesnt have any money to replace Eze, Guehi and Wharton.

It's odd that no rival fans congratulated us on actually winning the league after spending £10m on one player (who hardly played) but are all over this about "buying the league".

We didn't "buy" the title we actually won and have barely got going on this season's to be throwing that around.
Not to mention that once again
City’s spending in the past12 months has been huge again
Arsenal - I believe have a war chest (had) the Wenger years they were frugal and successful

we have done similarly over Klopps best part of a decade

Chelsea have been open in how they operate and stretch but don’t break the rules

the only team who stands out is the team none of the press make anything out of - it’s as though they are being forced to stay silent :bandit:

Well, if we listen to the media, we may as well not bother playing this season. Apparently, we were red hot favourites anyway, and now we've spent a record breaking £415m in one window, the title is absolutely guaranteed <doh>
It winds me up to be honest
We have sold a lot
We have lost one in tragic circumstances

I think we are stronger but only marginally and the depth still is about the same I think

building b us up to knock us down
Standard

I hope and pray we don’t give them the pleasure for at least a couple of years
My pessimistic nature doesn’t allow to think it will go well though :emoticon-0107-sweat:emoticon-0107-sweat

Not sure, I know based on net spend, Arsenal topped the table. But how can they possibly compete eh?

How the **** can a diddy club like Everton, with no European football, minuscule turnover, humungous debts, and non-existent worldwide appeal, afford a negative net spend of £114m? That is the story here. They whine, several of them like Villa, Newcastle, Everton, Forest, etc, about the Big Six Cartel, but here is the truth - they all leech off the global pull of United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea. :emoticon-0108-speec

They can do it as they know the punishment is well worth the crime.

The punishment for following the rules is Leicester.

I know we're always joking about your "pessimistic nature" and I have wondered how you manage to coach teams of youngsters given this fact. Just now on the spur of the moment thinking about possible conversation you have with them: "you won't win, this team is better than you" "try not to let in more than 5" etc. etc. Where do you find motivation if it doesn't come naturally to you?

We can only improve.

Imo.

Salah, not focused. Looked lost at end of home game crying etc. There's a lot.of other things we dont consider with players, like gaza. Who knows. He will be back.

Isak. Won't be fit but will be worked on. 30mins at the outset is ideal.

Ekitike ideal start but physically working up to prem. 60mins.

Wirtz. Big acclimatisation happening. But a lovely player. Can only improve.

Kerkez. Improving already. Tough little dude.

Vvd. Didn't look fit match 1. Looks well up for it.

Konate, all over the park first games. Looms great v a slow ****bag Gyokeres

Macallister half fit but matched arsenal can only.improve.

Gravenberch was missed day 1
Really good v arsenal.

There's so much scope to bed in here and we are 9 from 9.

There's a long way to go bit its a good start.

I am a big old lump of strange contradictions

On a pitch I am a fighter - never sent off - never booked
I treat everyone I play against with respect even if I feel they don’t deserve it because it’s just a game

I never went in for the dark arts and played to a reasonable level (Saturday league - same as most)

I am 48 and still play - football has given me loads of joy - I try to pass that onto the kids

all I ever ask of my teams is that they are fit and work hard
So whether I think we can win a game or not is irrelevant and never really comes up

I ask that they are respectful to the opposition. Anyone who cannot abide by that leaves the club.
The 3 best technical players I have ever coached were sent to other clubs because of this.

my teams have been successful and failed - I believe that to be healthy

if we win too many I find a team that will beat us
Grassroots is usually easy - you get shocks but generally the better teams win - once it all levels out games are more interesting imho

all that is in my control - so not really any need for pessimism- not sure if that makes sense
But I know what I mean lol

We are talking on here about what I expect to happen mainly because of my own personal luck
So I expect things to go badly lol <laugh>
So the pessimism comes out more lol

Guehi apparently very unhappy. He had made a goodbye video which was given the all clear from the club to be released after his transfer. He's considering giving up the captaincy.

As said, this will all blow up in Palace's face when Glasner jumps ship to United in the next 2 months. Parrish will end up with his dick in his hand. Won't benefit us though.

You said it was last night? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Only that he wasnt a big enough ****. You can't really find fault in a lad for not being a total ****.

There's no fault on his side for the palace side releasing video saying goodbye.

He told them the score. He kept the armband as glasner didn't appoint a new guy.

All his team mates will want him to keep it too.

Part of being a good manager and/or club is to know when is the right time to let a player go. Mutual respect.

100%

They cleared him to sign, have his medical etc. and Guehi was clear as day that he has made his mind up.

At that point, however incompetent you’ve been landing your replacement, you should accept it isn’t Geuhi’s problem and let him go.

It’ll all end in tears
