It definitely predates both of those because I just posted that I found old 606 comments with people mentioning it.

I found the bbc announcement for closing 606 and found it in the comments, well a title for it at least, as per with the BBC thr comment itself got deleted.

It was someone who made an assumption of themselves as a wum amd got laughed at for making a typo.

Does depend if they are 'triggered' or not....many transfer fees these days will not be fully known until end of contract I guess.
Frankfurt were looking for 100m euros, about £86.5m. Yesterday £82m was quoted. Today its £79m.
In a similar way to Newcastle spending £55m(?) on Isak and improving him massively,we will be looking to do the same.
Big man...6' 4'' .......can't wait for the start of the season :)

He might be playing centre-back alongside Darwin next season. :emoticon-0143-smirk

Ekitike medical today.

Nice.

The team is imo improving

If we just look down the rulez list

Is he fast? yes
Is he tall? yes (central player)
Is he the right age profile? Yes.
Is he a ****? No idea yet.

I mean honestly he fits the bill nicely.

He looks rapid. He looks skillful. He looks like he can look after himself somewhat.

He is young enough to improve and have resale value.

The fee is decent (they are all very expensive)

I think there is a basis now to look forward to the next year's where salah is wheeled out to pasture with confidence

Owen Beck to derby on loan.

Club see him as a cash cow asset and are trying to get a contract signed to tie his value down before letting him loose again.

Ok, I was wrong about that - just shows how fallible memory is. I was fairly sure it was on here because I remember it, and I wasn't on the Beeb site long before it closed.
It seems odd now, but until 2010 we only had dial-up internet round here and I never really contributed to any social media because it was a pain. I lurked on 606 for a while so I might have read it then. When we finally got broadband I started to join in and they promptly announced its impending demise.

I know what you mean about memory. It can play tricks on you.

Do you remember the Liverpool poster on the BBC called ContraryToBelief? He changed his name and added - an shambles to his existing name. People have used the phrase on here over the years though, so you are right about that.

I don't remember that poster tbh.
I've used the phrase many times myself, and I remember its origin as a typo that we rather ruthlessly exploited, which is why I was convinced it started here. I thought it started with someone who was known for constant rants (not wishi).
I did a search on here (yeah, I was bored), but there were too many entries to go through (not that bored) :)

I recognise the name but don't really remember that poster

Isak pictured training on his own. Something is definitely going on there. Can't see him being sold to the Saudi league, he surely wants to win some trophies before essentially retiring. Are there any other clubs linked with him other than us?

Great player that he is, his injury record concerns me and the fact that he maybe isn't up for playing more than one game a week.

He is unhappy with what they did on his contract. He thinks he deserves more based on something, who knows what was discussed.

Ignore lfc came knocking. He still would like them to shovel money at him.

Right now he's failing the tests.

We've Diaz wandering about causing ****e with a big mouth agent. Training away.

We've konate rejecting contracts. Training away.

Isak or Newcastle or both are not acting like they are in the big time here.

If they value him as a £200m player then maybe he or his agent or both, think they have to give him a wage commensurate with that valuation. I read that he's on £120k. The whole thing may be posturing to get a big wage increase.

Now Isak is unsettled and wants out... And we've spent money on Wirtz and maybe Ekitike... We're probably driving him into the arms of Arsenal or City.
