Plus, you risk upsetting the entire squad by doing this too. Doesn't exactly make for great morale.

What message you sending to future players? "If you're prepared to do that to them..."

"Reality" - not a chance, too damaging for the club.

We had this conversation about TAA? You can’t force him out If doesn’t want to go and no one is bidding.

1, it will tank morale when you have member of team exiled - in a very turbulent time for the club and players

2, it will put off potential future targets signing if they know they may be excluded from club

3, it weakens the first team

We wanted to give trent a contract and offered and offered.

It won't tank morale as pro players know the score.

It only weakens the first team if you don't have a replacement and you'll need one in 12 months anyway

No.more pushovers.
 
There is a video on social media showing Ekitike’s last 18 shots in the Bundesliga for Frankfurt. Makes Nunéz look like Harry Kane in the finishing department

Watching Hakimi at RB for psg is what I hope Frimpong is going to be for us. Absolute non stop speed and energy running behind the winger to spread the game and deliver low passes into the box.

I get what your saying but that is a very emotional response
As we have covered before - as much as it conveys the message you want to the player it also conveys a message to prospects

I would love to work it how you say but I think it is totally futile and perhaps even detrimental in the long run

So its a long wait now imo for our next signing. I think we know who we want for the most part.

guehi but Palace are playing hardball (their prerogative)

Isak - apparently NUFC are after ekitike, which would allow this move…..just gossip gleaned from another site.

Eze but, again, Palace trying to drum up an auction and want cash, not players.

I doubt any of these will come until the final week, if at all.

we still have a number of players to get off the books in order to bankroll the above…..so that’s what we’ll be prioritising imo.

I imagine Jota situation has put things on hold for a week or so. Obviously work still going on but I’d imagine other clubs are being respectful.

Nunez looks like on his way shortly. Diaz lots and lots of noise but imagine it’s agent doing most of the work to try and get him more money. Can’t see him going.

Elliott one has gone quiet and wonder if with no Jota or Nunez he might give it 1 more year to try force his way into squad with a full pre season and no injuries.

For me as life goes on I personally want the squad to get away on camp ASAP and start doing their thing.

The transfer stuff is what it is. There's a certain reality to the situation that has to be dealt with whether we like it or not.

However bayern should not get diaz. This should be a firm 100% no.

Konate should be offered to psg. See that is what and if we can attract least force real to pay 50mil and move on.

We need a cb ASAP.

We have lots of positives going around that are lost in the current situation where negativity can cloud the situation.

He is a very good player. He would probably be sold for less than his market value. It’s a very competitive world out there, someone would buy him

I thought we couldn't extend Anfield anymore? That said, I was at the Springsteen concert last month and thought - could we not move the Kop back in an arc at the back (Possibly over the corner of Walton Breck Rd) and join up the corners between the SKD, the Kop, and the Main Stand? And what about those corners at the Anny Rd end? Finally - another tier on the SKD? Would that involve pillars? Would filling the corners in do the same thing?

All-in-all, possibly 20k? Realistically, 5k -10k shouldn't be out of the question.

I'm sure if there was an actual will to do it thst the skd could be expanded a bit.

The issue is right to light and proximity to the houses on the Skerries road.

However the skd upper tier is narrower signficantly than the lower tier.

That horrid corner up there at the anfield road end for example.

There's only 30 rows and the concourse is ****e but you can easily get another couple of thousand seats but the issue is how to deal with the roof cantilever the pillars are on the outside hemming in the upper tier but the lower tier nominally excends into the kop.

Same for the kop. It's not depth its width with another block of seats maybe in width times the depth. Again its hemmed in only by the pillars for the roof.

The corners elsewhere like anfield road are more difficult.

The parts I mention are quite alright as its home fans but you'd want a very expensive upgrade to facilities and size of concourse for the fans.


In reality the spacing of the skd lower tier is tiny and hard to sit in so if they redo anything you will end up having to lose rows for leg room.


The kop itself isn't going to expand imo. It isn't that steep but you've a lot of seats and you get into the line of sight if you do anything with depth even if the Walton breck road wasn't right there. It's all about width and you'd get maybe 3k more to keep it a single teir without corporate types (as it should be)

The skd stand is hemmed in and nobody is taking houses again. To completely redo it you'd only get 9k more seats in at a cost more than the main stand. Prob 200mil min.

So up to 73k without corners imo maybe 75 but you'd gut the locality and spend 300 to 400 to get there (imo)

Smaller thoughts on the widths and roof pillars and imo you get to 66k
