Even better saw that United had been offered Calvert-Lewin, Vardy and Wilson.
Now I know it’s just agents offering their free agents around but funny that they dropped so far down that agents think might be legitimate chance than they may sign 1 of them.
After the terrible tragedy of last week, plans that were already evolving are becoming clearer (if you can believe sources).
Nunez to Napoli looks increasingly likely, it is just about agreeing a fee. Diaz seems to want away too. That would leave three spaces to fill in the forwards. Konate has indicated he wants to do a Trent, we should sell him and not be caught out again.
When you look at it, there may be four more players coming in before the season starts. Who would have thought that at the end of the season

Diaz is on record that he is very happy and will see out his deal.
Unless someone offers amazing **** off money then at his reported wage we can sit on him and just relax about that.
Chiesa and nunez are not really much loss are they? However we have to get real about what we have to do then.

For me you keep diaz unless he kicks off and he has said he won't.
If slot has decided with Hughes thst nunez must go then they have to replace. It would be nice that he could be given a shot at least.
The decency of the lad to be nearly out the door but "present" has not gone unnoticed I can tell you.
As for konate. We have sold quansah (stupid as I've said but it's done) so a new cb is a priority.
I've said before you set konate a deadline and you then drop him to 4th choice and barely give him time of day if his tapper uppers won't make a fair bid. Ruin his world cup.
That requires a few things...
1) the player willing to leave
2) the player willing to join whoever shows interest
3) a club to be interested
4) a club willing to pay what we want
5) us finding a suitable replacement
could really do with getting at least 1 of Robbo / Tsimlkas / Nunez to free up a space and money to get a new CB though if it is Guehi can we just rewind time and have Quansah back

One of the left backs will go - they’ll know that 3rd choice won’t get game time so pointless staying.
Nunez looks like he’s off.
Do wonder if with sad news about Jota, Nunez going, Salah at afcon if Elliott may now hang around for 1 more year. It might be that szobo is played more RW which he’s done for Hungary and can tuck in more and play almost as that inside 10 from wide with Frimpong providing the width - especially during afcon when Salah goes.
If we end up selling Quansah and Konate to have Guehi as first choice, I'll be pissed.
They'll know third choice won't get much game time but they know who is third choice?
Robbo and Tsimikas pretty much shared the role last season.
1. Seems so but that's prejudging konate.
2. Seems to be preordained he wants real if you believe things written.
3. Do real want him, who knows. Thry are not subtle.
4.real won't pay that's for ****ing sure. Not unless forced. (By offering him to psg)
5. Replacement is inevitable.
This really again boils down to lfc getting stronger and putting konate out to u21 pasture if needs be to prove their point.

Buy konates replacement. Bench him all preseason and see how he likes it.
Make it clear his agent should get the formal offer made now or we will ruin his world cup
My response was to quinneristops saying we should sell him now to avoid him walking away for free.
My point was, we can only sell him if other parties are willing to play ball.

It's no good saying "we can't let another Trent situation arise" because we never "let" it in the first place.
It's obvious now that he had made up his mind and had no intention of signing no matter what he was offered, and was determined to run down his contract. There's nothing the club could have done to prevent this, and there's nothing they can do if Konaté is similarly determined.
Talk of punitive measures, and sticking him out to grass is silly, imo. It's not something we're likely to do, and we'd only hurt ourselves further by losing his services for the final year.

And I still say force him out.
There's only so far family club can go.
Its all classy, its all good but if a guy wants to look out for himself you have to look out for everyone else.
This is a 50 to 70mil call here. Lose the fee now plus have to replace.
If you told me thst if we keep him we win the CL or tje league or whatever then OK but that's not a sure thing off konate.
Probably because tsimikas was frozen out after the fa cup etc.
Slot made a call to my mind there.
By making it crystal clear he will be 2 stone over weight and not in any shape to get a game for fance next summer.
Exclude from the squad and move on as that's what he wants (if he is actually refusing genuine offers)
You can see this happening in Italy all the time.
Cheslea have put about 10 players on thst status. They get the idea.
