I know what you mean, but it's Slots call and so far,so good.
Is it though?
I think it's the players who make these decisions. Like Kelleher, I imagine Quansah doesn't want to be peripheral any longer.
Whether it's the right decision or not I can't say, but I can't begrudge a move to a player who just wants to go and play, and I don't expect the club to stand in his way.

Apparently we can spend another 200m and still be good with ffp

We won't of course...

... I remember back with FM2007 (something like that) - I used to give myself the "Chelsea Challenge" - I'd take a crap team in a lower league- give them £300million and see if I could take them to winning the Premier League. Usually Chester City (Back before the went bankrupt and reformed they were regularly league 2). Bit of a pisstake, because at the time Chelsea had just spent £300million to win the title, so I wanted to prove I could do that in-game with a lower league team (at a time when £15mill was a sizable price for any player... answer, I could, it was actually easy to convert any team into a Premier League winning force with 300million squid).

Funny to think, we could end up spending £300mill this window if we get another couple in. (granted we'll be making money back from sales)- and £300m is STILL a lot of money but not the "God-Mode" amount of money it was a few decades ago.

Next season is when Ruben Amorim have to prove his credibility otherwise his paymasters will not see the funny side of it. Chelsea must come good also. Arsenal are getting tired of being runner-up. Newcastle are bent on improving themselves better. We must not overlook Aston Villa they would like to get top four finish. New Tottenham's manager can have his honeymoon but for how long?. Last I forget, Pep Guardiola is boiling and in the past, saw title winning as a right for Manchester City. Only four teams can be in top four. I must add that Manchester City are facing 115 changes. Who will make top four next season?
1. Liverpool
2. Arsenal
3. Chelsea
4. Manchester City
5. Tottenham
6. Manchester United
7. Newcastle
8. Aston Villa
I don't think top four would be outside these 8 teams in 2025/26.
Perm four from 8.
