the rumoured fee for Wirtz keeps growing and have to say if over £100m i'm not convinced he is worth it to us .
We all know people are inclined to make it bigger to get clicks and the rival fans want to believe it's massive.

We're about to get a Man City reject
(Milner didn't turn out too bad tbf)
I think Torres was a bigger signing than Suarez at the time. Torres was established and sought after by a host of top clubs. Suarez hadn't played in a top five league and was mainly known because of the handball in the world cup.
...... powered by Ribena. This may be controversial opinion but James Milner was the signing of the century. It's not our managers that have changed the clubs outlook in the last half decade... It's the aura of James Milner. Even now after he is gone his aura guided us to the title.
You can disagree if you like, but you'd be wrong.
Just outside Düsseldorf.
Then Torres went to Chelsea and the goals dried up, hence the joke” a Chelsea supporter went into a coma after a head injury, when he woke up he asked how long he had been in a coma. When told two years, his next question was “ has Torres scored yet?”Everyone wanted Torres. I remember Fergie was mad that we got him. Great player for a season and a half.
I know of Velbert, but haven't been there. I have friends that live in Heiligenhaus.Düsseldorf? Familiar with Heiligenhaus/Velbert area (not far)? My family who escaped the East settled in that area. I'm not sure where they are now, I'm sure my Mum does though. Most of the German "milks" are in former East Germany South of Berlin.
Can't say I remember anything about Düsseldorf though, probably last went there 40 years ago when I was tiny.

Rumours suggest Stevie G might be in for the assistant role should heitinga leave for ajax.
Wouldn't mind that at all

and has he even done his coaching badges ?Wise words from Slot.
On Gerrard as assistant if Heitinga leaves, I don't think that would work. I can't see his personality and profile at the club integrating into the Slot setup.
In what way?Wise words from Slot.

I would assume so considering he's been manager of rangers before.and has he even done his coaching badges ?
Martin Zubimendi doesn't sign for Liverpool because he couldn't bare leaving the mountains
Liverpool win the Premier League with Gravenberch as YPOTY, Salah as Player of the Year and Sociedad finish 11th
Leaves Sociedad for Arsenal
ok
Got them back in 2019, hence how he was able to manage Rangers and Villa.and has he even done his coaching badges ?

If he was there as some kind of motivational coach, then maybe but his personality doesn't fit with the quietly confident, competent, under the radar flying coaching team we have now. Thinking about it, he maybe would have fitted with Klopp whose own personality would have overwhelmed Gerrard's and kept it in check or balanced, depending on how you look at it but aside from all this, he's not shown that he's at the standard yet that gets him a coaching job at the club. Those who were suggesting him as new manager when Klopp left, have pretty much changed their minds from what I've seen, about him ever getting the gig. The Saudi move put loads of people off too.In what way?
Personally I think it would be a positive for players and staff to have a legend helping around the training ground
