Because it’s done over a 3 year window for ffp

So year 1 - 20m spend
year 2 - 100m spend
year 3 - 100m spend

It’s actually better to do 60m / 60m / 100m as when that year 1 drops off, you’ve not got 200m losses you’ve only got 160m losses so gives you more wiggle room.

only need to start doing accounting chicanery if we got somewhere near having a ffp problem but we don't .

But that doesn’t mean in 2 /3 years time we might? If can get in into this years accounts then it spreads that cost out a bit so you get 80m dropping off in 3 years rather than just 40m as an example.

Exactly, so they are more likely to use every trick to make that money go as far as possible by using good accounting and moving money into different financial years where required.

we do exactly the same at work, pay things in this years budget for next year if we have excess at the end of the year
 
Saw some bits talking about the game yesterday and how both full backs were pushed on a lot higher with grav dropping into a back 3 and chiesa coming deeper from that 9 position.

Explaining how would make sense with Frimpong/bradley and someone like kerkez rather than a LB who tucks into a a CB position as well as the links with Wirtz to potentislly
play that false 9 role rather than a more traditional 9.

Only 1 game but maybe something to keep an eye on Sunday v palace and pre season

i pointed that out to the Mrs who for reasons beyond me seemed totally indifferent .

Edwards has apparently got FsG to approve the funds for Wirtz. I’ll believe it when I see it. Maybe if we sell Nunéz for €60m+ along with Jota and Diaz we can go after Isak as well. All fantasy horse manure of course
