I know mixed opinions last time this was mentioned. But ability aside... we already have a number of first team 30+ y/o. If we signed Kane he too would need to be replaced in the upcoming years.
Palmer is a funny one. Forms dropped massively but I think that’s not helped by not having anyone decent up alongside to put away chances created.
However don’t see how he sits on our current set up. In theory that 10 role would be great behind striker linking up but he is a playmaker in there and isnt energetic enough if comparing to szobo in there. He would be an upgrade on someone like Elliott who I think are very similar players but Elliott has more energy and still doesn’t get a game so depends how slot would set that midfield up.
Maybe with Bradley providing more energy on the right compared to TAA and Salah, would need less from the 10 - szobo even said himself he has to use a lot of energy covering that right hand side which impacts his attacking output.
