Trent has a legacy but it will be destroyed.

Macmanaman had a quasi legacy despite us simply not being successful, we were almost but never quite and the second he left he got medals nobody at home cared about and he's not given the time of day.

Trent had won everything and has his legendary moment v barca. (Shared with origi)

By going to real he will find his mural painted over and his face largely erased as fast as hendersons was.

If he thinks anyone is going to fawn over him or he can pat the badge in celebration for us then leave and be forgiven he has another think coming.

I've not even been bothered to give him his new name.

Benedict Arnold was a traitor to the Americans and fled to the British side the the revolutionary war.

I think it's an entirely appropriate nickname for pur right full should it be proven true.

I am sure the club will come out with the usual lies and blame game to cover themselves but thry really don't need to.

Benedict has outed himself with rubbish about balon d'or and first and second half to carrer and such. We all know he.could be offered the sun and moon and still not sgin but we simply don't know what we have offered if anything
"Corner taken quickly ....... Origi" is the most iconic moment in our recent history and rightly so. We still don't know where Trent's future lies but if he does go, that soundbite could be his only legacy.

I think he has a legacy irrelevant of what happens. He's played alongside VVD and Salah to win the same trophies they have so why treat him differently? Only two differences; he's younger and he's a local lad.
I think if he leaves he'll be 'Michael Owened' by the fans. Not saying that's how I feel.

It'll definitely be tainted, just don't think it's fair that he'll get treated differently to Mo and VVD.

I was different with Owen to most though. I didn't rate him as highly as most did so maybe that's why but I wished him luck and moved on. Going to Man Utd was a **** move but I even understand that (I wouldn't do it though)

I think the difference is that he's local and that brings greater expectations for loyalty. Whether that's fair or not is another question. He's achieved a lot at the club but there's also a feeling that he's just on the cusp of greater things to come. I wish him well whatever he does.

All you can say is for his own sake he better perform in Spain or the daggers will be out very quickly. Better players than him have tried to make it Real (or Barca) and when they didn't live up to expectations the Spain press and local fans were merciless, even just after a few games.

He'll also have to learn Spanish, doesn't go down well if they don't bother to learn.

Personally, I'd stay put and be a one club guy but can't blame him for wanting to try something different having achieved all he can with Liverpool.

On the positive side , perhaps meeting real madrid again next season in the CL may yield favourable results down the left hand side which team try to do to us currently. Guessing madrid will have to figure that one out if/when he goes there.

Don't think he'll have any problems learning Spanish, he's a clever lad. His biggest problem will be getting a new set of fans onboard.

Mo Salah speaking to @TNTSports: “I want fans to remember that I gave it all to the fans, I gave it all to the city. I was here, I wasn't lazy, I just enjoyed my football and gave it all.”

“I think that's what the city is about - they give you love and you have a connection with them because you give your all.”

“I just want them to remember that I was here for eight years and I gave it all.”

If Liverpool are cutting Salahs wages... Shame on them... I don't believe anyone should earn that much, but how is Salah less valuable to the team now than two years ago? Either way, we can't sell him... So it's down to is he worth the wage or not? Considering anyone we buy who is even in Salahs sphere will cost over £200kpw themselves on top of transfer fee... Seems better just to extend Salah for two years. I've no doubt, even if he's declining in two years, he'll still be very valuable to us

If Salah is demanding unreasonable increase... That's a shame, but I will hold no ire to the club... I also won't hate Salah for it... It is what it is

Either way, I'm not going to be angry at Salah.

Losses of 57m for the 23/24 season, so a big hit without CL that season.

And that explains why we didn’t do much movement this summer.

This coming summer should have more to spend with this years CL money in the bank (upwards of 100m) plus (unless things go horribly wrong) guarantee CL income for next year as well.

Imo the match going fans won't be happy.

I simply don't beleive those at the man itd gsme getting on his back were representative though as that game is one time thst tickets get sold on in big numbers.

Owen was dishonest.
Mcmanaman was very dishonest.

Benedict Arnold hasn't said a word but he has beat the badge and kissed it sothsat imo will be enough for some to flip the lid once this eventually does get announced.

Imo there might be a split on this one until the first time he is seen kissing a real badge. Then most will flip to the traitor feeling.

There's a reason why if you go do the murals around anfield you'll see largely ex players.

Henderson got pullioried for moving to Saudi but the murals wasn't changed as Hansen is on it and the prem trophy.

Firmino is still up amd nobody seems to mind he said nothing then went to Saudi.

Salah has one

Trent has one and there's a few team based ones.

You'd wonder cos when Gerrard almost left after saying he couldn't go anywhere on the night of the cl final there news scarves ans shifts bringing at anfield.

We also have to factor in losing all 3 at once. Lose the one and people might shrug

It wouldn’t surprise me if vvd is pretty much done and dusted.

also wouldn’t surprise me if Salah is 75% of the way there

i think if TAA is going or is miles from being agreed I can see why they’d hold off. The team are performing, there is a feel good factor, they don’t need any good publicity by announcing it.

All announcing 1 or 2 of them will do will put even more focus on the one or 2 that haven’t signed. Why risk upsetting things at this stage of the season?

Vvd and Salah clearly want to stay. If club have agreements pretty much done and are confident and comfortable then get the season done. Go and win something and then can announce everything after and leave fans happy going into the summer with some good news.

I know nothing, but these are my thoughts:
Mo wants to stay and break more records rather than be put out to pasture.
Virgil is club captain and is happy here, and at his age there aren't any better alternatives.
Trent has had his head turned and will leave.

I'm not a betting man, but if I was I'd put £0.00 on all of this.
