We should start the "who slot does get rid of" list

Imo

Kelleher (through wanting to leave and contract)
Tsimikas
Endo (last report player it seems)
Morton (why the club did this to the lad I don't know)
Elliott (seems to be not rated for whatever reason, gets no chances in real games)
Diaz. May be running contract down and angling for more money that fsg will pay
Nunez. Obvious reasons
Chiesa. Can't run. No use to slot.
Trent. No contract agreed
Salah no contract agreed
Vvd no contract agreed

It'd only natural the man is going to have a clear out but thr club have added to this by not signing up key first teamers.

It'll be interesting to see who is left at the start if next year and who is added.

I'll bet isak.is not.one added however

If they won't pay salahs wage demands there's no way they are paying the transfer fee for isak and his wage demands.

Why? Isak has his best years ahead of him, we'd be paying Salah for what he's previously done.

I'd say simple maths

If salah wants 400k a week and we won't pay it

Then we arnt paying isak 250k a week and 120mil to Newcastle plus agent fees signing bonus etc

Probably not, but it's got nothing to do with not giving Salah what he's asking for.

I'd say it's an indication of what the clubs about financially.

If they don't see £45 mil wage bill to be paid to the top scorer and top assist maker in the league as worth it.

I doubt they will see a £100mil plus fee signing bonus and wage as worth it either

I don't agree, I think we're playing a dangerous "motivational" game. We'll see...

Internet has literally exploded with stories that Hughes offered salah a contract well below that of his current deal.

In november salah publicly stated he has no offer.
In December he commented it was his last home city game
In January he commented after the west ham game the parties were far apart.

Now we are hearing someone thought it a good idea to offer between 50 and 100k less than his current deal

I genuinely don't think any credit is due to anyone in the anfield hierarchy here.

They've taken a massive gamble. They've low balled all 3 players and are very likely to have massive egg on faces next summer.

I could see a world in which salah going makes sense on some level as I do think he's going to really struggle at some point over thr next 2 seasons. He's not tracking already so his output is stellar but we are vulnerable in games as a result.

I can see zero reason to do this with vvdm we cannot afford to lose him and there's no discernable drop off imo for 2 more seasons.

Trent is trent. We all know his weaknesses and strengths. Losing him to one degree isn't that big a deal but his replacement is mad of glass. But his passing is another matter.

Imo thr pmauers won't blink and sign so we are very likely to see them have a big goodbye against palace and thst will be that.

So Salah isn’t that desperate to stay if he’s rejected a contract then?

Probably not desperate, but Liverpool arn't too desperate to keep him either if they're giving him a pay cut.
I don't care if you make £10 an hour or £10,000 an hour- no one ever is going to be OK with a paycut... I'm not taking "but football players already earn too much money...", yes, that is 100% true, but no one likes to hear "I'm going to pay you less for doing the same job". No matter how overpaid you are, you're going to take that as an insult.

if you were say 35 and like paul shcoles told hey you'll play maybe 20 games sorry but we would like you to stay and retire here but you can **** off esewhere if you like then that is one thing.

But salah is putting up numbers giving 65% of our all our goals. he is not being told you'll play 50% of games i presume so it is hay do the same jo band play all the games so 100% an insult.
