We’ve also signed some high profile players - szobo, Mac, Gravenberch and Endo. The first 3 will be attracting big wages. Also had lots of new contracts for players.
Also has new short term DOF. Also have all the coaches and backroom staff that went with Klopp and probably got a pay off to go.
Also, talking about how contracts were heavily incentivised in 17/18 means **** all now. We have no idea if that is still the case. Given Salah vvd on 350/200k it would suggest that it isn’t the case anymore and we’ve had to pay out bigger numbers.
Don’t forget historically we’ve also always included all the support staff at the club, office staff etc in our wages compared to some clubs like city. Rise in minimum wage, inflation over last few years has gone up and those wages have probably increased as well

I think accusing the financial department of the club of massive fraud based on comparison of a couple of headline figures is a bit over the top.
2023/24 was
A) a cup win.
B) a 3rd place finish (so bonuses for reaching cl alone)
C) a year where matip and thiago had.not left.
People seem to forget that player who left on a free still get paid up to 30th June 2024 and the accounts published relate to thst period.
I do not think people can make a relatively small increase in wages into a black hole

It took me no time at all to look up a site telling me the squad base salary only is 143mil.
So zero coaches (klopp 20mil before eany of his direct staff thatt left)

So do people think genuinely that someone in fsg is being paid 150mil or so out of lfc salaries and wages.

Of course they are. They have slowly but surely delivered every actual promise made in their way not what a fan might think is the best way.
We are now in year 15.
61k stadium delivered. Just many delays and excuses and whatever that never played the demanding fan.(why isn't it 80k, why not deliver it 10 years ago etc etc)
Have won every cup possible. Why have we not won more. Bloody penny pitchers etc etc 1 league in 15. Shocking. 1 cl and more finals, terrible. World club cup and super cup. Who cares. Fa cup. Who cares? 3 lesgue cups nobody cares about that dead comp.
Increased club commercial revenues by 10x. Who's robbing our money is the cry. Why are ticket prices so high etc.

They have done the unforgivable. Acted like Americans talking about elite sport and closed leagues with Europe's elite.
They are not the best, they are not the worst. People need to realise that they could have people who really don't care or people who are wasteful or people who will run the place into the ground in debt.
Lfc is run like a business not like a show pony to excite fans enough.
It's not about silverware are all costs as nobody can compete with oil states. It's about running sustainably and making them coin on the side through global reach.
