Perhaps he wants to leave, maybe for one last big payday - but if no viable offer is forthcoming then he can stay, without losing face. Perhaps he's already said he wants to leave but doesn't want to make it public. It could be the reason for us buying another winger - who knows?
Lots of fans take the 'ump if a player isn't constantly saying how much he loves the club and wants to stay forever, but I just think he's being sensible at this stage of his career.
I'd actually keep him now - because I cba doing sums I don't care about how much we'd get (the horse has bolted on the really big fee anyway), and I think he's still an asset on the pitch.
I like him more now as a team player than when he tried to do everything himself.

Yes.

Just make the squad a hard requirement at the fa level that a club physically can't have more than 25 players registered with some allowance for club trained plauers from age 22 to 24 say.

As I said I'd be really strict on the market.

Zero trading in under 18s. Zero. Create some means for a kid to move that needs to be a proven situation regarding life or proven breakdown with parent club.

Then have some clear rules.

Minimum of 2 to 4 club trained players in a squad. This then encourages local players to be developed. Not sure if it should be 2 as they have to be at the club from under 18. These would be over 21 of course (jones, quansah examples not nyoni or bajcetic)

Minimum of 2 to maximum of 4 association players. Trained in England but could be 18 to 21 years old when they move club. Also over 22 at this point of registering

Maximum of 17 foreign players over 21. Maybe even reduce this eventually. No more To be allowed.

Have an allowance for homegrown players who move from the age 21 to 22 to cover a club holding 3 or 4 young players to be part of squad and then suddenly deciding they are not good enough and tossing them.
Maybe 2 to 4 club trained slots over 21 (deface 26th and 27th squad members)

This would account for developing a jones if there's no room.for them because you have your quota of hg already.

The idea is to stop a club buying 30 18 year olds and laughing at squad rules.

The idea is to have a hard stop of lfc buying 16 year olds round the league orforeign clubs. I don't agree with it.

Then to stop chesles hoarding a squad of 50 you.sinpym tell them that they have to sell a player to buy another and register them.

If they want to pay for them and pay wages and they never play then that still is wrong. Barca are doing this right now with being unable to register players but seeming can just buy.

Surely you.just block the deals end of.

I would not be surprised in the slightest if Salah signs a new contract in the next 6 months.

Could just be waiting to see what his relationship and playing time is like under a new boss.

Probably not.

We've no idea if there's an offer to him.or not or what the scenarios are.

But he has an issue. If he goes to stadium then he will not get his kids in school in tjr UK where he wants

This is where privately a guy.might say well I might be Muslim but I don't want my daughters treated like they will be if I go there.

He might be looking for longer than we have offered.

Who knows.

It's all speculation.
