Lad is doomed to run out his contract and then play lower league.

The club and Williams needed to make the move after that half season he had.

Clubs he's good enough for haven't got the money to buy.

I don't think it's unreasonable for us to be negotiating several possibilities at once - there are quite a few hours in a day.
Maybe the Marmalade one has been straightforward enough for us to hear about it and there's little or no intrigue going on.
Do we need him? Don't know, but it does suggest that one of the top two keepers are perhaps looking to leave - in which case it could be a more important signing than it appears.

Tbh, it seems that almost every summer we see a lot of frustration and dissatisfaction from fans over our transfer policy. It happened a lot under Klopp as well, the only major difference this time is the number of out-goings. Perhaps Slot and co think we just have too many that aren't going to get much, if any, playing time. The only nagging concern I have is that he might underestimate the pressure of the PL and the number of likely injuries. Then again, he isn't making those decisions by himself, and others who are involved are experienced in this league so you'd think it's something they'd be well aware of.

So what do we know with 9 days to go?

Kids are up for sale or loan to anyone who wants to make and offer.
Specific next questions are McConnell, doak and a few cast offs that are aging out like Balagizi. I'd expect some.moves in the bargain bin here.

Gomez wants to go as he was left out totally last weekend to look at his options. 45 to 50mil wanted. Sources state he is training with the team and all is fine so no deal is currently imminent.

Van den Berg was also left out of preseason games and last weekend and is expected to pick his new club and go for 25mil.

Clark is edging glacially slowly to a 10mil move.

Diaz is Rumoured constantly but barca have not got a pot to piss in plus slot said clearly his future is with us.

On the other side we seem to be close to Mamardashvili deal according to most sources and he will stay in valencia for the season (rather pointless but hey, sell a bang average ginger cb and reinvest the money I guess)

In short you add all this up and some money comes in for offcuts and some money goes out for a keeper we don't need to prepare for kelleher going next year.




For context man city signed savinho for very little this summer and are Rumoured to be taking the old.man gundogan back after losing a pretty decent squad player in alvarez.

Arsenal bought a cb in caliafpri that they didn't truly need just then and there and sold esr.

Neither of these two are one jot stronger so far.

To catch these we need to deliver more.

Only thing I can think at the moment is we are waiting to get some players dirt cheap from clubs that struggle with FFP. Like Barca we know they struggle to register players wonder if we are waiting til as close to the transfer window to save a few million when the teams are desperate to get rid.

Gungadin is heading back to Citeh, so that'll free them up to register Olmo. Wouldn't be surprised if they buy Williams straight after and attempt some sort of fudge to get him registered as well.

27.5mil for carvalho with 5 to Fulham so 15 now and 7.5 in future.

10 for Clark someone slowly in the next days

25 for van den Berg

7 for solanke on sell on.

57mil taken in.
