Only complaint I have about FSG is that they gave a seat to Spirit of Shankly at the table. Don't get me wrong, I think fan representation is a good thing, I just don't think it should have been bloody SOS. <laugh>

I was thinking it was Arsenal
Arsenal have never really had a problem with handing out big wages or even splashing the cash post Wenger. I mean they spent £72m on Pepe.

They weren't like Chelsea, but they always had the money to spend when they needed, They just kept getting it wrong.

Since wenger left them with something like over 200mil of cash in the bank according the accounts at the time they've thrown cash about and it's dwindled to nothing.

Their total return for this is one fa cup, won cos chelsea had fat Frank lampard in the dug out.

If you list thier current team

Raya 30mil
White 55
Caliafori 40
Saliba 30
Timber 35
Partey 45
Rice 105
Odengaard 35
Havertz 70
Saka 0
Martinelli 0

Let's not forget zinchencko for 30, jesus for 45, trossard for 20, Gabriel 20, loads of others like viera or tomiasu or jorginho who all either failed or don't play.

Thier net spend over 5 years is 550mil.

OK chelsea is madness and is currently somewhere around 900mil for 5 years as they had a transfer ban and so far this season have sold a few

Man utd are 600mil and we all call it waste.

Arsenal need to start winning a lot of trophies to justify their spend

Ok lfc are not exactly saints here. We have spent 300mil over last 5 years before ever talking about spending zero so far.

Lfc have however won a league, fa cup, 2 league cups and reached and a cl runner up in the same period as arsenals single fa cup.

We'd also be 2v3 in second places in the league

What I seeing in general is an absolute lack of patience with players across the clubs and a real turnover if there's not instant success.

All bad examples from English clubs.

Is the last one Spurs?

exactly.

It was a comparison against all our rivals in the league so are fsg worse than them?

Only one could argue are good owners is arsenal who are spending a **** tonne of money since arteta joined.

and yea, last is spurs.

If you look

Chelsea -900mil over 5 years
Utd -600mil
Arsenal -550mil
Spurs -480mil
Newcastle -400mil
West ham -310mil
Lfc -300mil (and zero so far this year)

Where do we want to be here. Spend 100mil to feel competitive?

As I've said I'd want far better than endo and tsimikas in our team and those two slots would be my priority but the forwards are not thst convincing either (unlike other clubs who discard we are showing patience with them)

This year's accounts were also the first without really covid impact and still had ecl included and we turned in a small loss of 7mil.

This current year will have no ecl and an 80mil.met spend.

Morton and doak played u21s today.

Harvey blair and koumas OK that makes sense but to toss doak down to u21s and morton as a senior player with approaching 100 pr games under his belt down there is a real signal of not being wanted.

Quite a different approach to klopp being shown at this point.

Or neither got much game time in USA so good for fitness to get some minutes.

That writing. Exactly.

Not really a huge shock.

Doak big injury last year, no real first team football. Lots of competition up top. Loan makes sense.

Morton, couple loan spells. Not much game time in USA. Links to a 6 being our target which is his position. Value at highest it’ll be.

It probably will be his highest value if we can get someone who's not in the bargain basement bidding pool

Give fully Leeds or someone with real cash
