been talk since the end of season he wanted to leave to become first choice though not sure in that case why he would go to Newcastle as , if fit , Botman and Schar would be selected ahead of him

No chance Schar is picked ahead of Gomez imo

We really don't need these guys thst are peddling themsevles about gray and summerville have basically walked on Leeds and had agents using us as stalking horse.

We've done our own plan for several years now with young players being poached really ****ing young. We don't pay full market rate for them.

Nyoni is just the latest in a line of players such as carvalho or Elliott

Our next moves imo will be one senior player and a lot of tje noise about players going will fade out unless someone absolutely ****s the bed to go.

Gk Alisson, jaros, kelleher, Davies (prob pitaliga loan. Mzorek already loaned.

Rb Trent and Bradley. Have a couple of kids too.

Lb. Robertson and tsimikas. Chambers will be loaned again. Imo this is weak but we will see.

Rcb. Konate and quansah until konate leaves (no sign anyone wants him yet)

Lcb vvd and gomez (who won't go imo) vdb will be sold or loaned maybe?

Twin 6. Endo, bajcetic, Jones, macca, szobo, gravenberch, morton and nyoni and others it's stacked. I'm.not sure who is filling in here and who slot wants to play this role. It was hugely attacking v arsenal. Szobo and Jones as double pivot lol.

10. Szobo, Elliott, carvalho, gakpo, salah even. There's enough here was well.

Lw. Diaz and gakpo and doak.

Rw. Salah and only salah. Gordon as rw kid with doak on tje wrong side imo.

9. Nunez and Jota.

Like... if we buy it has to be an alisson moment. Someone absolutely tops coming in and they replace a senior player.

I think that 6 and the lb and even rw look most likely but there's incumbents to force put.

The Gomez/Gordon swap is not going to happen (this summer) because Newcastle no longer need it to happen for FFP.

I would have been happy for it (despite losing a good versatile player) but it's a moot point now anyway.

I wouldn't have like to see Gomez go. If he wants to leave for regular first team football then so be it but not as a make weight in a freak for another player, the last deserve to choose his own destination.

No one goes anywhere without it being their will. They're not slaves. If Gomez said no, the deal would have been off.

(It's why I always criticize Owen for going to Newcastle. Yes they offered more than us, but he had the power to say no to them and Real would have been forced to sell to us, or keep him). Players always have the option of saying no.

Not always, players can move somewhere their not keen on if they feel pressured

I think player's agents can sometimes get them moves that they are not entirely happy with, (Robinho as an example) but they do ultimately have a choice. Like any situation that can make someone feel very under pressure, there is a choice, it's just whether you take the easy one or the hard one.

Bad News... Corporate is transferring you to the Newcastle branch.

Good News... They're paying you £150k a week

I'd accept the relocation. I'd probably take a job in Manchester for that much money as long as it didn't involve football or money laundering for Sheiks.
