Nobody in their right mind should take the Barca job, that's a ****ed up situation that is only going to get worse now they can't sell their future again.
Be standard of Bayern, to buy up the opposition just like they do with players.

Not bothered what La Liga do, doesn't effect us. It's what UEFA / FIFA do with them that matters

He is set to sign a five-year deal with Real, earning 15m euros (£12.8m) a season, plus a 150m euro (£128m) signing-on bonus to be paid over five years, and he will keep a percentage of his image rights

This sounds utter rot to me.

15mil euros basic is less than salah is on. . salah is getting more than 20mil euros a year.

£128mil would barely buy a caicedo so that is just the going rate

Image rights is the interesting one. Being hidden but they will probably sell 100mill of shirts this week alone.

For me this is done to get round FFP and revenue limits. He will make his 50 to 70mil a year in image rights.

We've gone from mbappe to bellingham fever and back to mbappe.

there has to be a massive star in the making out there for you guys to waffle on about on this thread.

Got to say, Real Madrid are looking a bit stacked with quality young players now; Vini, Mbappe, Rodrigo, Bellingham, Tchouameni, Camavinga, Velvarde and Militao <yikes>

yeah but some play the same positions. They got some value in the south american market by going and getting younger players of real quality but now they have Mbappa and vinictus junior who play lw. and theres 4 modfielders for 2 slots.
 
MBappe’s weekly wage at Real will be less than what we currently pay Salah. They’ve got a bargain just like city got a bargain with Haaland.

Shame we missed out on him.

yeah right.

City have no bargain with haaland. we just didn't get to see what went under the table.

haaland is on a mil a week at city, its just paid differently.

I'm going to bet PSG put a complaint into UEFA to investigate real for FFP now as this appears to be paying through image rights while the items going to FFP are reduced.

Camavinga had been playing LB out filling in rather than just CM. Valverde is versatile too.

Mbappe Will probably go central, Vini left and Rod right.

Yeah, I'm skeptical too... Of course there is also the £86million signing on fee (which isn't a lot to transfer someone like Mbappe, but it's all going to Mbappe, well and his agent too-no doubt). So that's all his... almost like doubling his wages.

I bet he's getting other financial benefits from all this, but the fact is, had we got involved in bidding, those numbers would all have been a lot higher and we wouldn't have been able to afford him... even if we could afford £86m sign on plus £326k per week that was agreed, and that's all there is to it (which honestly, we could afford if we let Salah go- maybe even without letting him go).

Honestly though, as insanely good as he is, I'm glad we didn't spend that on him as I think it would have caused other issues.
