Moises Caicedo has not ruled out the possibility of joining Liverpool, according to sources from Ecuador.

Caicedo had looked all-set to become a Liverpool player today, after the Reds had a huge offer accepted by Brighton. But since then, its has emerged that the 21-year-old has said no to Liverpool, refusing to join anyone but Cheslea.

However, Ecuadorian outlet Tera Deportes have suggested that this is not the case. Instead, they claim that Caicedo has simply been advised to give Chelsea the chance to match Liverpool’s offer to Brighton.
The suggestion is still that the Brighton man would prefer a move to Stamford Bridge. However, if Chelsea cannot match what the Reds are offering to his club, Caicedo will happily continue to negotiate with them.

In the meantime, the midfielder is reportedly ‘confused’ as to why Chelsea’s offer is not being considered by Brighton.

By the look on his face this morning before the news of Caicedo rejecting us - he has, publicly - became known it is patently obvious that Klopp knew then that player wanted to go to Chelsea. There will be fallout over this -either we haven't checked if the actual player would come to us before putting in a club record bid (my bet), or the player has completely reneged on what he agreed with us after somebody at Chelsea - understandably - reminded him that he would be reneging on what he's already agreed with them since May, apparently.

Considering the money involved (£111m, don't forget) it's astonishing we haven't done due diligence - but we really haven't.

Not too indifferent to our bids on lavia, chelsea knew the price and failed to bid that much.

We come in because we didnt think we had a chance with moneybags at the start. As for the wanting to know if player wished to come , thats gonna happen through agents (which are the likely reasons for chelsea coming back in with increased terms<whistle><whistle><whistle>:emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash::bandit::bandit::bandit:

Cant fault FSG for putting in the bid and agreeing to brightons auction timer? The players agents obviously have something to do with this as someone mentioned already, he was pretty much gushing for arsenal in January...

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has spoken about midfielder Moises Caicedo, who is being chased by Liverpool and Chelsea: "I have already forgotten about Moises. I'm really proud of the players we have in the squad. We want to keep improving. The credit goes to the club. Bigger clubs can buy our players but they can't buy our soul or spirit."
Good for him ... although we don't want their soul or spirit, we've got our own.

Klopp will have ruled out our though

Players are humans and given the same circumstances, your agent is gonna be getting the highest money available since they are in it for the £££.

which is why we should treat them all like indentured servants and piss on them when they leave.

when i say jog on rainbow laces or good riddance old man time for fab people seem to get upset.

God, this is desperate.

Looks like some are still at the denial stage, whilst I'm passing through anger into the bargaining lounge. I'll be fully at depression when I get back from the gym - and I'll make sure you all are as well.
