Well, this is fun.
If he doesn't want to come then I don't want him, and neither will Klopp - but I think all this hot air is coming from his agent anyway so who knows?
Has Klopp spoken to Caicedo? I can’t believe after the club agreeing the deal he hasn’t made any effort to speak to the player they’ve just bought, considering how close we are to the start of the new season.

Caicedo apparently doesn't like hugs.

I've no idea. I don't believe anything I read about football - it's all about people falling over each other trying to be the one to break the news, and they're never answerable for misinformation so I'll just wait and see.

I do find it odd you've done this though. I've read on here a lot before that you only go for players who want to play for Liverpool and that you don't get involved in bidding wars.

Seem to have gone away from that completely with this. Seems a bit strange?
We had gotten predictable
We wanted to mix it up a bit :bandit:

Yep, looking on Twatter X they’re all repeating the same thing, which basically means they don’t actually know what’s going on. All we and they know is Brighton had a deadline for bidding on the player. Liverpool were the highest bidders and have agreed a deal. The Brighton manager has already stated Moises who? So if Brighton are true to their word, Chelsea won’t be allowed to bid again as they have already been given the opportunity to do so and didn’t and Caicedo will be coming to Anfield.

The best is Romano saying how he’s just started following chelsea

hes actually been following them as well as United Barca Madrid arsenal for ages.

Brighton fans really don’t like him anyway, but general feeling is he’s being fed stuff by the agent to get things going

By the look on his face this morning before the news of Caicedo rejecting us - he has, publicly - became known it is patently obvious that Klopp knew then that player wanted to go to Chelsea. There will be fallout over this -either we haven't checked if the actual player would come to us before putting in a club record bid (my bet), or the player has completely reneged on what he agreed with us after somebody at Chelsea - understandably - reminded him that he would be reneging on what he's already agreed with them since May, apparently.

Considering the money involved (£111m, don't forget) it's astonishing we haven't done due diligence - but we really haven't.
