The first doctor I was going to when I first moved into my current city always seemed a bit "off" to me so I went to a different doctor. Shortly after I switched doctors I saw a news report about my old doctor, killed someone in a traffic accident while high on prescription drugs. Apparently giggled when the police arrived and asked "did I kill someone?"
Glad I switched doctors. Knew something seemed odd about him... probably always high when I saw him.

Young doctors getting high on prescription drugs though is an issue over here though... can't imagine spending what must be over 100 thousand by the time you get through Uni and medical school over here, to throw your life away by losing your license by getting caught abusing prescription drugs. Those guys probably never pay off their school debts once they have no access to doctor mega-salaries anymore. (not to mention, ones like my doc who ended up charged with manslaughter and doing jail time)
