No thanks to Mane. We did the right thing by getting rid of him (you can argue we should have done it sooner).

No, although something had to change... we had to start swapping out the old front three, they were aging. For the 6months+ before Mane left, he was playing better than Salah, so on form- it would have been smarter to keep Mane and sell Salah.
As said above, don't think it would be smart to bring him back, but he is the number one player that I would expect to keep trying when everyone else had given up. We do miss that.
Mane is not struggling par se.
he was reliable from injury point of view here and has a new coaching and medical staff who are not as used to looking after him.
hes only played half the games, a lot of in and out of the team as sub or whatever and honestly its a hip injury
28 games total, 11 goals and 5 assists.
last season its 51 games, 23 goals, 5 assists. he just started more game imo
I don't think he is doing worse, he is just injured.
Mane v suarez v whoever, never ever bring them back unless you want to have a lesser performance.

I just checked his stats at Bayern and it says 18 games 6 goals 4 assists. 1 in 3 compared to 1 in 2?
Agreed and I think that was the plan. Trouble was, Mane said he wanted to leave
Again, this is another problem of Klopp’s. He’s very reluctant to let players go unless they ask to leave.

You cannot just have the good without the bad. Klopp is what he is, always was going to be. We have had an absolutely fantastic ride despite the cheats we play next and real Madrid too lol.
To have that the very personality that drives loyalty and energy will also defend his players and keep them too long.
I have said many times we'd work him to death and this is on fsg. They have glaziered our approach to football cos they know a good thing and have abdicated any long term view.

He's just one problem after another. Why can't we have a proven, dynamic, committed and wise manager like...like...erm...Yeah, he's ****ing useless ain't he....
Honestly, I think Klopp is responsible for our recent successes and our recent disastrous season. He definitely has positive traits and negative traits. His stubbornness and inability to change has made this season a difficult one for us. I expect us to improve over the next few seasons, but I don't expect any more league titles under Klopp (people know how to face him now). That said, I can't think of a single soul who would do a better job than Klopp or another manager I might prefer. I do think we've seen our best days with him (and I also think we've already passed the worst we'll see with him and are now improving from our rock bottom). I expect a steady stream of 2nd, 3rd, and 4ths for our remaining years with him.

Klopp isn’t immune to criticism and he’s rightly been given some. We said 2 years ago that he was stubborn by ****ing the midfield trying to fix the defence and only sorted things out when he actually played defenders in defence etc.
Again this season he’s rigidly stuck to a system where he doesn’t have the players to at anymore.
Two ways to look at that. Strong manager sticking to principles that this is way we’re playing and if you can’t keep up, you’ll be replaced.
Or, poor management and should adapt his team to suit his players.
One in theory is the long term plan. Look at a arteta, got arsenal playing a certain way despite the constant **** ups but eventually for the players doing it and reaping the rewards.
But should have some short term vision to adapt to be able to meet the reduced targets for this year?
Same with his loyalty to players. It’s built a team that will run through brick walls and ply 60+ games last year in order to hit those standards. However, has it left players get too comfortable or not allowed to move them on soon enough to reinvest?
Waiting for the right player. Perfect if you get your targets, don’t waste money on players that won’t hit the ground running (how many have we got wrong - not many?). At the same time, miss your number 1 target and end up with nothing as don’t have back ups and leave yourself short.

You could have just said some fans are patient and others aren't impatient
When Klopp arrived, he got every level of football at our club to play in the same way. This means any players progressing through our youth ranks already know the style of and when they reach the first team. Why would he then change the first team style?
