Jorginho to arsenal seems very odd move. Doesn’t seem to fit into arsenal style and energetic midfield. Was a player City wanted when arteta was there so makes sense from that aspect but not where where he plays for them.

Very diff type from Partey and that’s who they need a replacement for (caicedo is the obvious there).

Kante. FFS, five years ago - not half. How FSG can you get? Have Chelsea still got Drinkwater we could take off their hands? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Being punished for rejecting the Euro Super League? Why else would FSG practice this amount of self-flagellation? :emoticon-0112-wonde

The worse owners <doh>

Ffs.. some people really are in a little bubble. Go ask Coventry how they think their owners are in comparison to fsg?

How about Everton’s owners?

Mike Ashley?

Based on a random Spanish paper? Woukdnt believe everything that’s written especislly when it involved 2 glib clubs, a French player and only people reporting it is a Spanish paper?

Yep, the best feature of FSG is that they're not as bad as H&G and several other appalling shysters. I'm overcome with gratitude for their unfettered altruism. :emoticon-0119-puke:

FSG have no doubt done a lot of good at the club. But it's pretty clear that they have checked out now, and we're now suffering as a consequence.

They really need to sell up asap

There is a clear split in fans imo... those that are happy for the club to run itself and those that incorrectly think a sugar daddy is the right way forward.

Sugar daddy? Third highest turnover in the world:11th highest spend in the Prem. Not a sugar daddy we need - just need owners who still haven't got their knickers in a twist because their European Super League idea was rejected and then decided to punish their own club. :emoticon-0181-fubar

I just want a club that buys a midfielder every once in a while instead of having a dozen forwards. <ok>

I recognize that we probably needed a Darwin after losing a Mane, Divok, and Mini Me... But Gakpo, as much as a bargain as we may have got him for, and he may turn out good, is a bit odd when there's a massive hole in our middle.

In general I think FSG have been great though. It is odd how they haven't addresses the midfield problem though. Unless they've written the season off and are just waiting for the Jude, Enzo two man punch in summer.

i doubt FSG were the ones who decided Gakpo was the first choice for our Jan budget .

Yep. It's a collective failure from the owners down to the coaching staff.

This was precisely the reason why I was worried when Edwards announced he was leaving because I felt Klopp would get more say in transfers.

Looking at the recent signings, there doesn't seem to be any strategy or plan.
