salah has after months of some fans demanding it and some including those on here thinking that he wasn't worth it after Christmas 2021. I think most wanted it though.

I don't see this current state of affairs as being purely down to contract renewals, I think there's just too many unreliable players and players regressing

yes Henderson was given too long. yes we kept both milner AND Henderson but equally ox and keita are massive issues.

up front the picture is different now as 2 seasons ago we were staring at 3 30 somethings and now we are looking at a whole new set up. I think firmino can go if we like if we have any faith in kid as no 6 forward and fitness of the others.

Chelsea agreed 29m fee for madueke. Exciting wide English player was brilliant for psv last year but been bit hit and miss this year.

Also hd 55m bud for caicedo rejected (that sets the bar if we are interested).
 
Honest, I don't think we need a new forward when Firm goes.. we've got plenty already, especially when you count the youth.

Its midfield we need players.

I’m guessing that they’ll go back for Calcedo and we won’t get a look in. Assuming that they do, how much would they have spend this window alone? £150m + ? Would be approaching £600m in the last 6m. That’s obscene money by anyone’s standards.
 
55mil is laughable. Brighton were never accepting that.

however there has to be a reckoning here as we are now up to looking at 600mikkion spend which breaks every single so called rule in the European and UK book

Its almost like the £1bn or so Abramovic had to write off for the sale is being spent? How was it structured? Or are they just loading that £1bn back on the club with the view, well we coped with the debt before, lets do so again.

well iirc the debt never existed until the sanctions as the accounts showed it as debt turned into equity but Abramovich wanted that back when he was sanctioned .

Madueke may be a good young player but his injury record is terrible considering he's only 20 as well. Out for 82 days so far this season and 150 days last season. Also been out for 45 days in previous seasons with minor knocks. Also his value on transfermarkt is €15m. Chelsea paying double on every player? More evidence how they have helped to skew the market.

Chelsea confirmed madueke. 29m 7.5 year contract with another option for a year.

Really don’t get the agents agreeing to these massive deals? Unless they’re being massively overpaid and don’t think gonna get a wage like that ever again in their careers.. which seem odd for the guys that are 22/23

Maybe not worlds best but definitely vital to how we play and yet many won’t acknowledge what he has been to our club

Jimmy's always had his favourite and pet hates. He's criticised Hendo for years but praise Moreno ffs
