Strong rumours that LFC have put in a bid for Caicedo ... let's hope we pull this one off.

A lot of talk around the guys from many sources. A lot going for Chelsea going for him, a lot form Ecuador as well. Talk he has changed agents as well so its quite murky.
What have you seen from the most reliable "when something is real" sources?
Any bid would need to be 65i75mil for brighton to get out of bed.
They are grossly incompetent when it comes to having a consistent team strategy that fits. Changing from the can't defend no mark lampard to the ultra negative tuchel to the fast paced high intensity potter shows this lack of consistency.
Nothing makes any sense from a joined up thinking point of view. I have seen chavs who big up every signing like they are worlds greatest and a real coup and then they say ohj our squad is terrible and we can't be expected to be improving.
I actually saw one guy say rudiger was **** and he hopes he was gone asap (under fat frank) to being crucial and amazing and now oh we are **** cos rudiger went. They haven't a clue
the diet of oligarch money has utterly warped thier expectations and approach as fans imo.
Some bizarre ones out there but some make sense i guess like this one.

Liverpool are reportedly 'allowed to negotiate' with German goalkeeper Rob-Robert Zieler.
The Reds were linked with a move for the Hannover shot-stopper in November, attracted to a potential deal due to the 33-year-old counting as a homegrown player. This is becasue Zieler spent a period of time within Manchester United's ranks as a youngster.
Out of contract in the summer, and would count as a HG player. this would actually allow adrian to be dispatched next summer when out of contract as well. A perverse logic but it makes sense given:
a) Kelleher counts as HG/club trained
b) LFC need 4 HG and will only have Henderson (ox gone, milner gone, phillips gone) so having this **** head form germany and elliott = 3.
c) LFC need 4 Club trained and have only 3 today but will rsie to 4 with jones. Trent, gomez, kelleher, jones

Caicedo would bring a lot more energy to that midfield. Would make us harder to play through.

we really don't need that
@Diego always says we used to hoof it at the fast lads. we now have nunez and gakpo to hoof it at. just shore up the middle and let trent go back to being a terrible defender who hoofs it.

I said this against Brentford. They were over committing players forward, we should have just booked it long and let Nunez and Salah do their thing.
However, as a long term tactic... you can't hoof it to the fast lad if the opposition are defending deep, nice to have the option though.
our tactic is go to the ball.
the second we lose the ball or someone gets possession our trained instinct is all go towards it. When you've midfielders like thiago and elliott and now fabinho who can't run this means they never get close to the next pass to hit that man as he gets a pass, as they are not clos ethe next pass is right into a guy running at our back 4 and those CMS cannot get back and help as they simply don't have it in them
we are a pressing side by tactis but now the personnel simply goes put any pressure on anyone so they can all pick the next pass.
When our system works you see teams back pass, god wide or have to hoof it themsevles. right now we are getting passed through.
as for the long ball... well you'll have to debate that with @Diego as he's the one who says all our success was based on hoofing it.

We're not getting Jude anyway, especially as we have zero chance now of making the CL. We're just being used in a bidding war by his agents and club, just as we were over Mbappe because his mum wanted him to play for us. Fernandez looks sound, but £100m+ is twice our budget, and the same for Rice. Shame, as we reportedly have the most wiggle room in the Prem with nearly £400m to spend before we have to sell.
I'd prefer Amrabat, in a heartbeat. But I guess I'm on my own on that one from what I hear on here and from my family and friends.
