Jan 1 is for first possible registration but start the work. Make the deals needed.
We do business outside the windows all the time anyway, the players just can't actually join until the window opens
Well they can't play but they can join amd train.
Like when barca signed players to avoid transfer ban and they couldn't be registered.
Or when they bought this summer amd could play them in friendlies but couldn't register due to their awful finances.
If there's a player out there we want we ought to just get it down as end of January would be incredibly thick to leave a signing until.
I meant do the deal prematurely. The player stays at their current club and officially moved when the window opens.
I think we do this sometimes because we have been known to announce signings very early in windows

Nah, didn't apply to Barca with 75% of players they signed last summer.
Lewandoswki and Raphinha did play in usa preseason friendlies but could.not be registered in la liga until barca fake sorted their finances.
If the selling club takes the cash then the player can go do a training camp
In some ways the emergence of doak reminds me of the situation we found ourselves in years ago with sterling.
At the time sterling was a lw and that was that (still is really) but we are a couple of guys older than him and had to make the call what to do and we sold Tom Ince and also amoo who were proven to not be bad calls.
Why does this remind me of that.

It feels to me that we are going to need to start to bloody well pick the best one and shift the others.
Mayaba did well at rb Preseason. Would need a lot.of work defensively but another neco williams type.
Clark has been shifted to midfield in the u21s recently.
Frauendorf plays cf a bit
Gordan has been injured all season
Musialowski hasn't kicked on, also injured. This twinkle toes could be the one to go.
A huge amount of names but none for me yet scream get them in the seniors like Elliott did or this doak lad showed on Wednesday.
I'm still waiting for the next owen/fowler tbh. Cannonier scores but isn't quick enough imo

I personally thought he was a class player but a rb so if we think to move trent then fine but otherwise its too much wage for a benchwarmer
