Juve announced we have option to sign him for £32m if we wish. Good to have that option if he does well

Yeah, considering they paid about double that to get him from Barcelona. Apparently was great for Barca, but never really settled in well at Juve. Hopefully we see Barca quality Arthur, not Juve quality Arthur. May take a little bit, but Klopp is good at getting the best out of players.

By all accounts he was signed by sarri who then got sacked a month later. Pirlo came in, tried to take team in a certain tactical direction but got sacked before could develop it and gone back to alegri who wants more physicality so Arthur hasn’t been that kind of player.

He def seems a more thiago type. Get on the ball and be able to dictate tempo which would be good. It’s just if he can get up to speed of the prem after playing in Italy. Not many come over and pick up the pace

So the window is closed now and we can take stock. We made a big error in not lining up midfield targets earlier in the Summer. We are playing catch-up already and I hope we can hold onto a champions league place because we need to attract some serious players next Summer. We are going to lose Millie, Ox and Nabi so three needed there, so it is going to take a lot more than Jude Bellingham to sort out the midfield. My worry is that FSG will simply not invest what is needed to compete with the top teams. We will see

Chelsea spent £285 million in this transfer year, how on earth is this compatible with Financial Fair Play. Meanwhile, less well off clubs like Leicester could not afford to buy and may well be relegated. Does anyone know how FFP is supposed to work? City know how to get around it as well
