I think we're gonna see much more of this running down contracts from players, the haalands and Mbappes of this world have opened a can of worms in terms of making sure they get bumper deals every few years.

For example Haaland has a release clause that kicks in after his 2nd season at City, meaning another mega move or a mega improvement on his current deal.

Mbappe has similar guarantees that the money will keep flowing in over the duration of his career.

I have thought about it and I think I'd rather we keep him and let him go free end of season than take say the 80m wed get for him now.

Mane and Salah in one window is too much too lose imho
