follow the ffp model "clubs can spend up to €5m more than they earn per three-year assessment period. However they can exceed this level to a limit of €30m, if it is entirely covered by a direct contribution/payment from the club owner(s) or a related party." UEFA and Premiuier league = "Premier League rules allow clubs to lose a maximum of £105m over three years"

This is 2021/22 seaosn. projected turn over 580 quid (not dollars) thats up nearly 100million quid on last year lads.
This is covid era
loss of 4.8mil 2021
loss of 41.5mil in 2020

Before sales LFC should have 60mil to spend minimum. If we sell mane and keita for example at the figures quoted then thats another 70mil.

... ox, minime, phillips etc etc.

if the right player is there to improve klopp will get him.

Salah has already said it isn't about money. Now he says that he'd be happy with a two year deal. So if it isn't money or contract length, what is it?
Well, Mané is looking for "a new challenge", according to lazy hacks who just pulled that one out of their book of stock phrases, so perhaps it's something like that?
Though in Mané's case, I'm not sure what challenge he's expecting at Bayern - unless it's the one of trying to convince himself he's in a real, competitive league.

Top up a few medals in an easy league before he retires.

It doesn’t work like that. A £50m, 5 year signing will cost us £10m pa for those 5 years as the fee is amortised. Losing big salaries from the wage bill will give us a bigger spending budget.

Yes thats all good stuff, really this all depends on the actual deals struck and flow of monies. the point being that under FPP its very clear theres a lot of scope to spend.

Remember that in the worst of covid FSG/LFC got us tsimikas, jota and Thiago and last season with the loss they still got us Konate and Diaz so thats FOUR first team players plus one that's very close while keeping us afloat and IMO the success we've has is a direct result of such work.

I am still confident its not a total rebuild but an evolution with klopp looking out to what's needed and who fits.

He's got a poor injury record. Had lots of hamstring problems.

I really don't get anyone even paying the blindest bit of attention to that lad.

Chelsea are after no-one yet and certainly not that lad.

a) he's got serious attitude issues
b) he's got the injury issues you discussed
c) he's not the hardest worker at the best of times on the park

He in no way fits our model. It'd be like saying we are back to balotelli signings by thinking about him.

In the end mane might get a huge shock in germany that actually he doesn't get the same care and attention our club rightly gives him and others of the muslim faith.

He might have more cash to spend on hosipals though and in the end he's a nice fella and that but DEAD TO ME.

jog on lad, you can come round for a bit of a pohto op and free tickets and all that but I'm focused on player son the park not ex players.

The nicest thing about this season is all the mouthing off about wijnaldum stopped pretty damned quick the second Thiago was fit.

Same will happen again.

Since Diaz was signed in Jan 2022 we must have a very creative accountant if we have included him in the loss declared for our accounts up to 31/5/21<laugh>

Still, I think you are being wildly assumptive in what we may or may not have to spend. For example, if we our revenue is up £100m, you’re assuming that the entire £100m will find its way to the bottom line - it will not.
Our club is run very very well at the moment….I trust that they’ll spend what we can afford, sell who we have to sell and buy the very best that we can for our money.

New Korean lad?

Diaz arrived in Jan and konate arrived in July so neither hit those figured they hit last season which is going to be in the accounts up to May 31st 2022 when published.

Thiago, jota, tsimikas were installments and went over 2 seasons so that's one reason we held the losses down so much in 2020/21.

2019/20 we plenty nothing much so that's why (added to how last covid hit the season) that w e only lost 4 mil.

Compare to some other clubs who reported many hundreds of millions over the period and seem to be left off to spends without issue

I'm not.

The projections are already being discussed in public and record revenues are expected (580mil is being discussed including cl money etc)

That's up 400 mil on last year before any othe rites like record Nike sales come in etc.

60mil prior to sales imo. If the right players are there we will spend.
