Tony Cascarino:

“Signing Harry Kane would be the perfect way for Liverpool to respond to City’s capture of Haaland. Tottenham Hotspur are set to finish outside the Champions League places and if that happens Kane is unlikely to want to stay for another year.”

“The England talisman cannot go to City because of Haaland’s move, Manchester United are not an option because they will miss out on the Champions League and Chelsea already have Romelu Lukaku.”

“That leaves Liverpool as the only suitable destination for Kane — and he would be a great fit for Klopp’s team.”

“I could not think of a more perfect forward for Liverpool. Kane, 28, boasts an exceptional workrate, he can drop deep in the same way as Firmino, he scores all types of goals. He has the same humility as all of Liverpool’s best attackers, the DNA of Klopp’s side.”

“Kane could outscore Mohamed Salah and provide the kind of assists he has for Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski this season at Tottenham.”

Why do ex-pros or so-called experts keep trying to push Kane on us...?

I actually think he would be a good Firmino replacement and said so on here the other night.
No chance you will pay Levy's price though (or anyone else). Kane got ****ed over last summer and his chance has gone.

Unless ETH want's him <whistle> :bandit:

I can see how it could work but not a ****ing chance it'll happen for many reasons

Said Kane would fit in very well here as a replacement for Bobby, but isn’t ever going to happen.

Spurs will want over £100m for him and we aren’t paying that for someone coming up to 30.

Now, Lewandowski final couple years? Wouldn’t mind that as an option for cheap or free

There was a time when the Jocks provided most of the best strikers in the English top division, **** knows what happened to their football.
I remember reading something about the first Liverpool squad ever having 12 or more Scots in it.
And of course there have been quite a few half-decent Scottish players in the top tier down the years. :)
