Borussia Dortmund star Manuel Akanji has an ‘offer from Manchester United’ on the table, according to reports. The 26-year-old has been tipped to move to Old Trafford amid Harry Maguire’s struggles at the back this term. And any deal that would see him leave Dortmund for the Premier League would, potentially, spell trouble for Maguire and his prospects of staying in the team.

All the focus going on Mbappe, Haaland, Salah and Kane.

There is a lot of other very promising young attacking talent around Europe, Darwin Nunez, Jonathan David to name a couple.

The media just want hits, so they write any old crap about the big names knowing that it'll get more attention.

Gomez is a CL level defender. If he leaves will be aiming way higher than Fulham. Would hate for him to go but can’t see him being happy at 4th choice CB for another season. Especislly with WC this year and Englands defenders being awful that spot is up for grabs.

You can bet our scouts and management aren't just looking at the big names. The club seems to be focused on getting the stars before they become stars. (Which is why we will never see Mbappe or Haaland).

Waiting until someone is already a big name, or signing players for shirt-sales is more a Man Utd or Real Madrid thing to do.

Being linked with Olise from Palace. Mainly because klopp said he watched the city palace game for 65 minutes for analysis reasons.

why is that then linked to Olise? Well he was subbed off on the 65th minute :bandit:

Trust me. We won't buy very many prem players.

The exorbitant fees are not worth it.

Our signings under klopp

Diaz.
Konate
Elliott
Jota*
Thaigo
Tsimikas
Minamino
Van den berg
Alisson
Keita
Fabinho
Shaqiri (relegation)
Vvd*
Ox*
Robertson (relegation)
Salah
Mane*
Wijnaldum (relegation)
Karius
Klaxon
Matip
Grujic

I make that 4 from prem clubs, 2 from Southampton, 1 wolves, 1 arsenal. All expensive enough.... more interesting is 3 from relegated clubs

The fee for Diaz or salah for example are absolute steals when you think raphina will be 75mil if Leeds stay up.

It's not.impossible but I think we prefer up and coming under the radar buys like jota
