Not arsed. Play out this season and then sell them both.

Keegan, Dalglish.

Rush, fowler

Owen, torres

Torres suarez

Suarez balotelli :bandit:

Balotelli mane

Mane Diaz.

Etc etc

There's always another player. Have heard the same.irreplaceable stuff every bloody time and they are all soon forgotten on match day.

Just like when Gerrard had to go we got henderson already etc etc and people.ssid this that and the other.

We won the title without Gerrard.

We will win things without salah.
We were never going to miss Badontelly...<doh>

Bar De Bruyne, none of them are worth anywhere near those sums and only get them because of what club they're at and how desperate they were at the time
It's a great example of how silly the game has become. Salah either signs or moves on, hopefully if he isn't going to sign he sees out his contact and helps win us more silverware before going.

Salah deserves about 300k a week. His out put is consistent and of a level that's elite but he is not in the uber class and bar his first season never has been

Some players get that money for good reason and some really don't and are a disgrace but kdb deserves his wage.

Salah is imo our best player of the prem era bar none simply because he's delivered consistently so while Gerrard and suarez get plaudits I put him above them... but he doesn't merit more that 300k a week.... and we won't se either back in merchandise realistically.

The fact that city who cannot fill their ground but can magic revenue out of thin air constantly from their state backers can pay several players vast wages doesn't change the economic reality of the business decision we have.

Some offer has been made. Apparently.

If that offer is south of 300k we are idiots.

If salah wants 400k a week headed for 30 then there a door he can be shown to where psg I'm sure will want another famous name so soothe egos.

There's always another player coming along. No player lasts forever as man utds disastrous flirtation with ronaldo proves.

Unsurprisingly, City, United and Chelsea are the only three clubs to possess multiple players who earn more than Salah.

What’s more surprising is some of the names in that bracket. Lukaku, Werner, Sancho, De Gea, Cavani and Stones are all seriously overpaid, while Grealish, Sterling, Pogba and Varane should certainly not be on higher wages than Liverpool’s main man.

Kante’s salary is more understandable given his importance to Chelsea since his arrival from Leicester and the same can be said about De Bruyne, who’s the only player that can lay claim to being better than Salah.

As for Ronaldo, well, he was never going to be on anything less than £500,000-a-week, was he?

That’s what happens when you’re arguably the most famous athlete on the planet and surely even Salah knows he cannot demand a salary on par with the 37-year-old.

Liverpool simply won’t break their wage structure to that degree, even if it means they end up losing their best player in the near future as a result.

Just some perspective. Salah is being offered £15.6m pa. This, no doubt is without goal bonuses and win bonuses. We are not City, Utd or Chelsea and he knows that our pay structure cannot compete at a basic salary level with these teams.

so if £15.6m plus bonuses is not enough, trust me, we don’t want him. Not because he isn’t good but because at this point, it’s all about me, me, me…..and that is exactly what Liverpool football club is not…..and while he may be good, I very much doubt he’ll find a (top) club that will build to his strengths like we do….I may be wrong, obviously, but if he doesn’t sign soon, we need to move on. Quickly.

I think the options we have at the moment with Jota or Mane or Diaz left Jota or Mane or Bobby centre really gives us options but the right hand side it's Salah only although Mane can play there, we will have to replace Salah if he goes.

My problem is if he wants that money he needs to be scoring and assisting every week.

Yeah he's been good, but if he wants that kind of money you need to be incredible every week and currently he's not.

Agreed :emoticon-0148-yes:

£15.6m is £300k per week

With Mbappe's PSG contract expiring in June, a host of top clubs are lining up to sign the French superstar for free and Mane hopes that the two can become teammates.
"Sure! It would be an exceptional partnership," the Liverpool forward told L'Equipe, via Marca. "He just has to come to Liverpool. I'm sure he would like it."

Even if he was I don't think we would demolish our wage structure completely to keep him. That would be a short-term decision, and good management has to look further than that.
There's always another great player waiting in the wings.
