Makes absolute sense and shows that someone with actual football knowledge is advising them.
Regardless of money you don't go for big name players to drag you out of a relegation scrap, you need competent hard workers who will put in a shift to earn points.
Newcastle need goals, chris wood is 30 and is as slow as slow can be at this point.
Newcastle have not time for this type of floundering about chasing crap from thier direct delegations rivals who would never sell to them.
They need to bring pace and goal scoring urgently and the fact that now on the 10th of January it at least seems the only real target aligned before the window was an aged right full back who can take a free speaks volumes.
Newcastle have had to have seen that as much of a nice player almiron looks and as much as joelinton tries neither know what county the goals are in never mind their general location.
Newcastle need to be moving now for strikers cos scoring goals is the only way out of this **** they are in.

Said all along you they need to try buy the best players of the relegation clubs or mid table teams and the squad players of the big clubs. So the thought is there, but Chris wood isn’t prolific for Burnley and you’d think would be a 6 month option if true. If he scored 5 goals and keeps them up fine, but doesn’t seem a very medium term option for the next couple of years

Krafth (have now replaced RB slot with trippier)
Manquillo ( cover lb but is rubbish really) Lewis is injured but not for that long so don't see a buy here

Saint Maximin (gives up easily and fakes injury as well)

If i were them I'd be looking for a forward ASAP and at least one CM to try and get soem form of 4231 system going. They need to exploit the fact that they have willock, saint maximin and a bit of pace at least in fraser/almiron.
you cannot play 4231 with shelvery in the 2 though. just won't hold up at all.

This is about getting ahead of Watford. They are only 2 points behind them.
3 from 4 are going down so this is really a out getting a little run going and the best way imo is to score a few goals rather than try shut up shop at the back.
well yes they need a goalscorer but honestly Lascelles really is a poor CB .
none of them are all that good. I do like dubravka as a keeper but he is still not all that. trippier is poor buy imo, a guy who falls over and takes frees is not quite what they need.

Apparently want someone before the Watford game. Can see why as it’s a must win for them you’d think but seems short term although I guess that’s their aim. Short term signings to stay in prem.
Isnt origi injured so not sure signing him would help for weekend though plus I doubt we’d let him leave in January.
