Rumours are that long have bid on shaqiri, given he didn't feature last night I think we can assume something is happening.

We are also rumoured to be in for doku from lille but I assume that's just agent spin.

Cheslea quietly sell abraham for very little to roma. The clear out begins.

Apparently fee structured over time with very little up front and no doubt he will be sold back for 130mil in 2 years lol.

Some people can only project their own motivations onto everyone else. They seem unable to conceive that people are different.
It pisses me off when I see see a player motivated purely by money and then someone else says "anyone who says they wouldn't do the same is lying".
People the world over do things for little or no financial reward. If Messi is so distraught at having to leave Barcelona then he could stay and work with the club to make an arrangement that they can afford.
It's all crocodile tears imo.

100% agree, especially with the highlighted line!

For his boyhood club, no less. If he gave a **** about the club, genuinely had an emotional connection to it, he could happily 'drop' down to 'only' 100k a week and solve pretty much all of their problems. Bless him though, 100k is far too restricting a budget for him. The only way to put food on the table is clearly with a move to PSG.

Footballers are so far-removed from the real world and the problems of their fans given the damn pandemic especially. Said it before, I'll say it again and I'll continue saying it until I die; as much as I love the sport, I'm embarrassed by it as well.

And it still wouldn't be "just" £100k a week, he'd still get his £400k per week from outside the club too [HASHTAG]#hardlife[/HASHTAG]

Roberto Firmino has given Jurgen Klopp a problem to solve by scoring twice against Osasuna. We all love this type of problem.

Good cos this is what competition is all about firmino knows jota will take his place in a hot second if he is not on it.

I wish mane had the same pushing him. I am hoping rather than expecting to see a more competitive edge in mane Saturday compared to preseason

I was 2nd and 1st team captain (which includes team selection, game mangement and dealing with the money) over the last two years for the Hockey club, not only did I do it for nothing but I had to pay to play and pay membership subs.

How hard a life it must be for Messi that he can't play for less that 500k a week, on top of all his sponsorships, endorsements and everything else.

But then we are talking about someone who felt they didn't have to pay tax.
Yeah I did the same for my rugby club and also worked behind the bar, done social sec and even helped paint the clubhouse.Messi is just a greedy little twat who doesn't give a **** about killing the Golden Goose.

I dont like it.

If were going into the season with our current midfield we're fukin mad, ok curtis might push on this year and elliot might slot in well and flourish straight away and naby and ox might stay fit. But they are all risks. Might be that none of em pay off and we'll have last season injury fiasco all over again just this time in the middle.

if all we do is konate this summer for me thats bullshit. fukin buy someone ya tight yank bastards.

I wish klopp would put more pressure on them tbh. Mans been living off scraps the whole time hes been here ffs
