Inevitable really. Everyone knew they were desperate to offload big names but nobody was prepared to pay their wages leaving Barca with increased wages having signed the likes of Aguero. Couldn’t make it up.

Makes you wonder if they really wanted to keep him. If you do, why sign Aguero and depay on big wages. Almost seems like was all talk to appease the fans knowing that they wouldn’t be able to afford him but didn’t want to admit it
yeah strange indeed. They still have huge debt so will still have to sell but removing Messi from their operating cost is going to free up some cash. They’re still in a heap of trouble.
