80k per week til 2023 and he is now 29 and will be 30 in october.

why would you want to go anywhere to get less?

Its not in his interest to leave, 50k a week or whatever over say 3 year deal?

30k per week over 2 years = 3million quid.

If he holds out til next summer he can still move and get a 3 year deal somewhere at age 30.
If he does not want to leave, he can go out on LOAN<laugh>

Or he might not want to sit on the bench and actually play football in lead up to World Cup.

maybe he will, but its not affected him in the least for the euros has it?

Its almost assured his place in the qatar world cup if they qualify as long as he is fit (which he will be)

maybe 3mil is nothing to them but it's a lot of lost income for no real reason to him.

I mean where else is he going to play CL, etc etc.

he won’t be playing CL next year anyway as he won’t get on.

Neco Williams attracting interest from Premier League clubs this summer and is keen on the idea of leaving for regular football. [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG] would be willing to do business if they receive an offer worth around £10m.

From an LFC perspective, a loan might be good. But from his perspective, TAA has probably got that first team spot nailed down for the next 8-10 years, so I can understand him wanting to further his career elsewhere.

So we'll need RB cover again, unless we're going with Gomez/Hendo/Fab/Milner

I don't think Neco is good enough to be a regular starter for us

Would be nice to keep him and see how he develops over next few years. No doubt he’s not good enough now, but worried we have no cover for TAA at RB and Williams looks a better fit there than Gomez in terms of being able to attack

James Pearce alluded that we would like at Gomez to provide cover. If that's the case, then it seems like we don't learn from our mistakes. I don't expect us to have two top class players for every position but we need to have cover for our most important players / positions.

I haven't seen much from Neco to suggest he's good enough for us. Of course, it's still very early days from him but he looks very poor defensively and whilst he looks classy on the ball, he doesn't actually produce much. He reminds of Adam Lallana - all style, no substance.

Where realistically could he go?

I'm pleased to see players with ambition, not being content with minimal playing time especially if they are playing for their country. I think he needs to listen to good advice otherwise he will disappear like others who mistimed their exits from the club.

Not sure but he needs regular game time. He'll be lucky to get it in the PL but a stint in the Championship wouldn't be bad for him.
