Gini is great, wish him well, but getting €30m from selling him to a desperate Barcelona instead of committing £45m to offering him a new contract is brilliant business.

One out, one in...similar fee...Thiago will be incoming now I guess.

I expect one of Shaq or Origi to move on if Sarr is to come in.
Well, according to twatter Michael Edwards is currently in Munich.

If true, this coincides with the rumour that Liverpool have a 48hr window (starting today) to get the deal done before thiago goes on the "open market".

At least there’s some activity, albeit in rumours. Let’s hope he doesn’t lowball them too much and they tell him to do one <ok>

Liverpool have been named as the latest club to be interested in signing Lille midfielder, Boubakary Soumare.
The French news outlet, Le10 Sport, names the Reds as one of the clubs said to be keen on Soumare, as AC Milan are believed to be stepping into the fray in what is a fierce race to land the 21-year-old.

According to The Mirror, Wolverhampton Wanderers will sell Adama Traore for £40 million, amid reported interest from Liverpool and Manchester City.
The Mirror reported this month of interest in Wolves winger Traore from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s City.
It has now been reported by the same publication that the Wanderers will allow the winger to leave if they receive a bid of £40 million.

that’s a big climb down from what they were Reportedly demanding a couple of months ago!

There is a possibility that fsg have played a blinder by hanging on. Not just with Traore, but holding there horses and waiting to see if values start to drop could pay dividends.

Alternatively October may pass we won't have signed anyone and we will be up **** creek.

values have dropped and more to the point much less transfer activity which causes a blockage as teams need to get rid of players before bringing in more additions to the wage bill . For example i've seen no evidence that we have had any interest in Wilson & Shaqiri where as in previous years i'm sure we would have by now .

well, hardly up ****s creek <laugh>

Traore would suit Utd more than us tbh...they like kicking it into the space behind the defence. Traore would be a level up on that as he’d run with the ball into that space. :bandit: We rarely have any space behind to work with behind any defence.

Whatever happens with Messi might also define a few things....Barca are seemingly unloading several (arguably) world class players.....and the window is open until October....a hugely interesting transfer window where cash will be king imo.

Dont get the hype behind Adama tbh, for all the size of him Mane is stronger on the ball, Salah too and both can do what he does better.

Id prefer that Sarr, more about him for me and more scope to improve

Liverpool could be in line for a shock windfall after Premier League newcomers Leeds United have reportedly expressed interest in veteran playmaker Luis Alberto.
