I know both Salah and Mané have been accused of going over easy and sometimes they have but ironically I find it quite frustrating now when they don't go over under the extreme dragging back that they both attract when they could legitimately draw the foul. They aren't what I call floppers.

What really annoys me is the type of player like Cantwell who knowingly fall down with no contact (and yes I agree he's not the only one). Watching the game knowing that every time there's a tackle or a player within tackling distance said player will fall over and win the free kick is so frustrating. Our players just don't do that as part of our game.

I don't like cheating but it's unfortunately part of the game. Gerrard even did it and he's English!!! :bandit:

Yeah he's a good player but probably looking for playing time and he isn't getting it with us.

That description would fit a certain left back towards the end of his reign at Hull City....

Edit; or even a young Geordie CM at Sunderland stone time back ;)

All players go down easily when it suits them just watch defenders when heading to their own goal line under pressure where normal procedure is to suddenly stop and then throw themselves to the ground to get a clearing FK .
Mane will drop at a touch ,again, when it suits him and then has a dreadful habit of feigning injury .

The problem Is if you don't flop about your not getting the freekick. Anything short of decapitation and if you stay on your feet its play on.
I know what you're both saying and I agree but you must know what I mean too. When the one player over and over keeps going down. It was either 5 or 6 times for Cantwell before I stopped counting. When was the last time Mané flopped 6 times in one game?

I do know what your saying, there has always been players that go down with a slight breeze, over and over again, it can be very frustrating to watch. But again why do the refs fall for it constantly?

JB i think it was this post
I don't like cheating behaviour. If he wanted to catch Klopp's eye, he went about it in the wrong way.
i mean tbh i think most PL managers not only expect but demand their players "cheat" in certain circumstances i.e. tactical fouls , holding players at dead ball situations , stopping quick free kicks being taken .

Exactly. I think there's always an element of favouring the underdog - as seen on Saturday - and favouring the stars who do it like Ronaldo. Floppers generally fall (no pun intended) into those 2 categories.

I think some managers do, you're right. Ex players reveal all in their autobiographies but I honestly don't see us having any of the, 'accepted' forms of cheating as a regular part of our game. We've seen Klopp take Mané off and wave his arms down in a 'what was that lying on the floor all about' gesture and looking none too pleased.

I just think most teams are about the same though there are a few teams when a particular "cheat" is a pre set tactic .

Suarez was a cheat, probably still is, but a 6 time flopper per game - no. It's an individual's trait as I said before either the out and out cheat or the very best players. I thought Neymar was rolling his way home from the WC, absolutely ridiculous and no need.
