Good for him if that's true. Just shows you never know what's on someone's mind, he never looked that interested for us <laugh>
Genuine question
Do you believe that
Given how he left us I would offer the theory he has snubbed Utd because he doesn’t fancy the challenge but his lfc past is let’s say convenient
I know you said if which is why I ask
I would love to believe it but... call me cynical :)

I was more intrigued by the 'I wouldn't want to sour the relationship with the Liverpool fans' bit.

a) I don't think he'd give a **** if they were a decent side
b) I don't think he'd give a **** if they offered him a wedge of cash
c) I don't think he has a particularly good relationship with Liverpool fans (it's not the worst though)
d) he thinks we'd be bothered; he's ****e!

First things first, is it true? If not we don't need to ponder his motives. If it is true then there are any number of reasons but I'd like to think that like a lot of ex Liverpool players, he took the commitment to the club and fans seriously. Which in itself would puzzle me as he didn't look particularly 'bothered ' while he was ours.

I always think it's easy to say as a fan but as a player with options in front of you it could be different.

I'm not money motivated at all so that certainly wouldn't sway me but one last chance at winning significant trophies? Im not so sure everyone would practice what they preach.

Liverpool transfer target Samuel Chukwueze promised to English club as Lyon plot deal
Liverpool are keen on Samuel Chukwueze while Chelsea are interested in the Villarreal attacker in case moves for Jadon Sancho and Wilfried Zaha fail.

We got over £3M for him, how the **** did we manage that?

Quoted the wrong post, I'm on about the Allan transfer.

You can't know what's going on in another's mind, but I feel it's just an attempt to say the right thing. Can struck me as having a Mourinho type mentality, insofar as it was all about him rather than the club he was with.
He showed flashes of brilliance at times, but was about as manoeuvrable as a container ship. Got caught in possession and lost the ball too often, trying to be Didi Hamann. He obviously thought he was better than he was, and perhaps his time in Italy has brought this home to him.
I think he's kidding himself if he thinks we'd be overly concerned about where he plays next. A decent player, but we've moved on and he'd struggle to get in the team now, imo.

Liverpool youngster Shamal George looks set to join Swiss side St.Gallen on loan until the end of the season.

St.Gallen have something of a problem in their goalkeeping department at the minute, with number two and three goalkeepers, Jonathan Klinsmann and Nico Strübi, both out injured.
First choice goalkeeper Dejan Stojanovic has also been linked with a move to Middlesbrough, who need a new number stopper to replace the departing Darren Randolph.

That has led them to try and find a new goalkeeper this week, and they appear to have settled on Liverpool U23 George.

I agree somewhat with this but the fact that, as far as we're concerned, there has been only 1 of ours gone to utd or Everton must say something.
