Looking at last nights game, Hoever is nearly ready and should be TAA’s back up next season. Means we only need a LB as a priority but one that can quickly offer 90% of what Robbo does....
Elliott at 16 is a talent. Next year is huge for the boy......he could play a lot of the cup competitions next season.
After this we have Jones and Brewster who are flirting with the first team.....so we will need new signings for the first team squad.
Minamino appears to be one of them.
Sancho seems to be on fire. Will be a great signing for someone if he does move on. Imagine the meltdown by Pep and the internet if we signed him.....if we want to challenge for every trophy as City have the last couple of years, this is the type of signing we need - real rotation.
Midfield is tough. It’s been decent this year so I wouldn’t touch it unless a potential that could be KdB became available.
CB signing would depend if Lovren leaves or if Gomez gets fed up being 4th choice. We’ve been short here around this time of year for two years so perhaps 4 isn’t enough given the games we have but how would you keep them happy? So no change here for me unless we sell but perhaps a loan signing for cover over the next few months.
So basically For next season:
Sign Minamino
Hoever challenges (can also play CB)
Ease Elliott into the first team squad
Sign a decent LB
Sign Sancho
Surely we can get this done this January?

Also have to think about upsetting/disrupting the squad. Obviously thay goes with any signing but i just dont see werner happy playing sub to our front 3
I know what you mean...just wishful thinking but perhaps needed;
Klopp is on record saying Brewster probably should have gone on loan. Elliott is not ready to be the first option off the bench. That means we effectively have Origi as cover for 3 places. If we want to challenge for everything, we need the depth of squad that City have. I’d take minamino and Werner. Our forward cover would be Origi, minimino and Werner and 2 of those three would be pushing for a regular place. Origi not so much unless he improves more.
