Sports hackery has always been the embarrassing spotty cousin of serious journalism but the internet has allowed it to plumb new depths.
In ye olden days when newspaper space was limited, at least it was only the best (least worst) stuff that made it to publication.
Now, a host of mediocre key-bashers looking to earn a crust churn out tedious non-stories at a prodigious rate.

It’s 3 weeks until the window opens. We will be linked to everyone and their dog from here until February. It’s not just poor journo’s, it’s unscrupulous agents linking their player to us to drive the price up (see Pepe) - put the two together and the outcome is astonishing.

Liverpool submit bid
Liverpool made an official bid for Inter Milan teenager Sebastiano Esposito, reports claim.

Esposito, 17, made his Inter Milan debut in a Europa League defeat to Frankfurt last season and has been utilised by Antonio Conte on several occasions this term.

The Italian forward has a phenomenal record for Inter’s Under-17 side, netting 25 goals in 34 appearances and his exploits have seen Manchester City, Liverpool and PSG all come knocking.

FC Inter News claim Liverpool put forward a ‘very rich offer’ for Esposito, but the player rejected the move in favour of continuing his development at the San Siro.

Bit surprised Napoli sacked Ancelotti when Everton and Arsenal are rumoured to be after him. Why not wait and see if you get money for him rather than having to pay him off?
