Liverpool are poised to clinch the £1.5 million signing of Sepp van den Berg and see off interest from Bayern Munich and Ajax, writes @_pauljoyce


Van den Berg is represented by Key Sports Management who also look after the Liverpool defender Joe Gomez.

Yes, looks a good prospect from what I’ve seen of him. Quick and can beat a man, could end up looking a real bargain at that kind of money.

Interesting to see if Griezeman AND Neymar both go to Barcelona because they surely need to offload players.

Dembele would be the ideal signing for the front 3.

wouldn't that then mean barca are looking dodgy for ffp rules?

unless Dembele goes for the ridiculous fee quoted.

i can only see barca interested in neymar, as they need what is called a marque signing now days, shut the fans up for 5 mins.

interesting city haven't got to that stage yet with the fans, but i guess they so far have only conquered domestically, so fans haven't turned into snobs just yet lol.

You say that but then same thing s going to happen next summer.. and the summer after and the one after.

Psg/Bayern/Barca/Madrid/city, only one of those could win the CL next season and maybe none of them so they’ll be looking to rebuild and strengthen again, with rumours of mbappe going Madrid next year it opens things up again

There will always be one or two clubs rebuilding, agreed. But this year is unique in that every major club is rebuilding. That’s not a regular occurrence imo.

Tbf everyone needs to improve to try and match us. That in no way means we don't have to also improve.

We don't know what's going on in terms of ins and outs but I'm sure Klopp will have no intention of standing still - we have some way to go to even try and get close to city's depth.

If we improve too much we might become champions of the universe.

Not much improvement is needed tbf, and what will actually improve us... Tricky situation as we could actually go backwards if we're not careful.
