Had a very good season. Versatile, young, works hard for the team, has pace and he can finish too. Anyone think he'd make a good option for us? Would be expensive though

I thought he was very good.

the other young fella though.... choudray.. I thought he was really good too.

for me leicester might.just have the right.man in charge to use those two.... oh they'll be **** at the back with rodgers but those two look really.bloody talented midfielders.

The Express are reporting that Italian international striker domenico Berardi wants to leave Serie A mid-table side Sassuolo this summer. There has been much speculation that he would head to one of the Milan sides, but his preferred destination is Anfield:

“If an offer arrives, be it from Milan or another club, I will evaluate it with my club and if I hear that it is the right proposal… this time I will say to Sassuolo: ‘I’ll take it’.” Being able to choose, I would play in Liverpool.”

Whoever we buy in this transfer window, we must close the gap in quality of squad with City.

Our (only) dip in form coincided with a mini injury crises - this at a time when City could rotate their entire team. It was ultimately the difference between the two teams.

God forbid if we’d lost VvD for 6 weeks....or a Mane for a month. Yes we need full backs but we also need to reduce the reliance on 2 or 3 key players. I’m not complaining - we’ve made giant strides but to get over the line, the squad must be brimming with quality throughout.

Take that £200m we’ve earned and get spending lads <ok>

over 3 years spending we simply.might not be able for ffp.

Maybe we can.

we.do.know we declared a record profit and then spent 127mil the following year. so I would love.to.know what our accounts for that year.look like.

can we afford to have a 70-100mil net.spend??

Leicester have assembled a really a talented and young squad, and Rodgers could be the one to get the best out of them.

Unfortunately for Leicester, Rodgers got rid of the man who was responsible for signing those players and replaced him with his mate from Celtic, who has a terrible record at pretty much every club he’s been at.

<laugh>. Didn’t know this but couldn’t help but smirk - even if it isn’t true!

Football finance is a mystery for sure. In a normal business, any asset would be written off over x years. So VvD, for example, will cost our balance sheet 70m/5years - so 15m/year. So, if it’s the same for players (I simply don’t know).the full value of a player doesn’t hit our numbers in full. It’s just a 5 year investment.

Would love to sit with our CFO to understand it!

yes, and if he extends contract we gain even more write down. it is an asset and written off against tax in this manner.

however thats for TAX, not for FFP. FFP demand you spend what you earn

Van Dijk was superb forLiverpoolthroughout the top flight campaign.
It saw the Dutchman named the Premier League Player of the Season ahead of his team-mates Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
Shut up Garth Crooks. Would not lose to your team Tottenham:emoticon-0183-swear:emoticon-0183-swear:emoticon-0137-clapp:emoticon-0137-clapp

Presumably he'd have to move to Spurs? And if we win we take their best player... Son?

Crooks is one of the worst pundits going. He knows absolutely nothing and is pretty much always wrong. How the BBC continue to employ him is baffling.

If true, why turn down Man City for Liverpool?
