Can has arguably our best central midfielder for the past 2-3 years. Doesn’t say much when you see who is he compared to though. He wasn’t perfect, he wasn’t top class - but he was a good option who wasn’t pretty much first choice for us and gave it his all.

But for an average player who only has flashes of brilliance, gives the ball away and gets dispossesed a lot, he seems to have landed on his feet at one of the best clubs in the world.

At least we still have Henderson :)

Even Henderson could probably land on his feet at a good club when they are not paying a transfer fee for them.

And this is from someone who thinks he is over rated. Along with can :bandit:

I highly doubt Henderson will move to a bigger club than Liverpool - regardless of fee. Same applies to other overrated fools at this club.

Hmmm, Juventus a bigger club than Liverpool.........erm, okaaaay.

I would say Juventus are a bigger club than Liverpool.

Perrenial winners and CL challengers with plenty of big names.

Admittedly their league could be "stronger" (well recognisable) but nothing in the world beats the PL for fans and revenue as well as "competitiveness".

I’m afraid it’s true. We’ve not won anything in a long time and we’re jist establishing ourselves in Europe again.

It will take time and I think we will be back at the top soon - but you have to be kidding yourself if you think we are more attractive than Juventus currently.

I wouldn't say you were less attractive. I think clubs do need to be judged on their history, finances, current standing in their league and recent trophies though.

Where liverpool fall down on is recent trophies and recent historical positions.

As with many things though, i think Liverpool may have the edge in attracting players because of 2 things - frankly the Premier League is a big pull and the money that is dolled out in the premier league means you can dwarf the wages that juventus are going to give out (although juventus have been going the big name route).

On a free transfer as a backup with no chance of becoming a regular...
