In short.

Yes but marginally.

In detail:

theres lots of stats for these things out there

examples:

So we cover the ground but its not a massive gap per games. Its on average about 1 game more running per year.

Spurs are very similar to us in terms of ground covered.




I personally think its a myth whats said about klopp's style. We don't leg it about for 90mins and walk in exhausted every week. We press high when we don't have the ball and work to get it back fast. In games where we have 70% possession we run less as we are passing the ball!

We press hard in sprints then drop off if we don't win it back and form the defensive pattern. We are just seeking the turn over high up. Its very difficult to run a thousand extra kilometers in a season! Theres just not the time in games.

The rumours I heard were that we could not get insurance on him so pulled out. We know he did an interview with LFCTV prior to world cup and medical so there had to be quite an advanced deal but nobody really said the reason why it wasn't completed. We simply don't know what went on at this point.

Klopp was saying no more in up until saturday evening after that match but the reality is his comments then were "yes" to a question on any more deals and then he clarified further and only talked about sales.

We could all be waiting for some buy that is never happening and down to someone interpreting his response wrong.

I actually interpreted him as we have more business in terms of sales and then when asked about purchases he said that he didn’t want to ruin sky sports deadline day so said ‘maybe’. In other words, no....but I won’t spoil your fun! Classic Klopp.

I can't really see us doing anything.

I can see us trying to get our net spend to <100mil.

right now we've clubs playing the waiting game on several players as we are asking a lot. A case of who blinks first.

Yep, pretty much this. We’ve earned an additional (reported) £60-80m from going deep into the CL. Add that to our usual PL net spwnd of 20-40m and there you have it. Around the £100m mark is spot on.

right now: our net spend is approx 160mil.

so we need 60mil back.

hmmm.

20mil or more for origi (that'll be some deal)
15-20mil for ings (palace are desperate)
3.5 for chirivella
12 for mingolet
we supposedly want 7 for mr markovic.

= 57-60mil.

thus books balanced with an actual net spend out of transfer type money of 30 or 40mil and the rest form CL prize money.

Said this, seems very short sighted that sign a keeper who didn’t get into England squad behind their current number 1. What happens when they have hart Heston and Pope available? None of them are happy to be 2nd choice let alone 3rd
