How much do you think we are going to get for him?.
Well if Pullisic is £60m then Moreno must be at least 59. 59 pence that is.

if we get all that the world is gone mad. especially ings and origi. add in the ward money and there you go.

I think them fees would be reasonable for Origi and Ings in the current market.
Origi is still very young. Ings is a good player, just not a top four player

Can’t remember where I read it but Soton and Burnley are both interested in Ings and the price was around £20m.![]()
Steve Bruce has launched a bid to sign Liverpool’s Ben Woodburn on loan, with the Wales international set to be withdrawn from Jürgen Klopp’s training camp in France.
( John Percy )
bit mixed in this one.
I think the lad needs it and will be tested but I just think he has stalled a bit.
putting him in Bruce's hands though....
Given the ways fees are going, if he becomes as good as his potential suggests, he will be another one in the £100 mil bracket. It's going to become more and more commonplace
Fees will only go so high. The club has to be sensible about the players they bring in etc. I'm not doubting Pulisic but he needs more time at Dortmund.
The fact that we've signed VVD, Keita, Shaqiri, Alisson and Fabinho seems to go over the heads of some people. We've spent a lot of money and I'd much rather that same cash was invested sensibly in a first team player than on a raw talent.
Well it was going to be Fekir, but he's got bad knees. So we signed Shaqiri on the cheap, good deal and saved £40M, some of which will have gone in Allison.Fees will only go so high. All in all we've already invested in that extra forward we Needed, but now have an extra £20-30m to spend. Also if we sell Ings, Markovic, Origi that will mean we're losing cover forwards and bringing in another (maybe) £40m.
SO, with that extra forward player already bought and Sturridge looking to be used, why not use any of the extra money to buy one of the very top young talents now at a highish price rather than miss out and later when he's worth £100m
Yeah, whilst the big headline figures show that our net spend is 110mill ish and we've gained far more than that when you look at TV deals and sponsorships over the past 2 years, there are so many hidden costs which are pushing us very close to what we can afford. Agent fees are somewhere between 10-15% extra on top of the transfer free, signing on fees another 5-10% extra as well.Completely ignoring wages, agent fees and having access to the accounts of course...![]()

Then like you say, wages; our wage bill has shot up. We've sold Skrtel, Allen, Benteke, Balotelli, Lucas, Sakho and Coutinho who've been on 'decent wages' and upwards, but we've added Mane, Matip, Gini, Salah, Ox, VVD, Fabinho, Keita, Alisson and Shaqiri who are on big bucks - plus other players like Klavan, Karius and Robertson aren't on negligible amounts.
We've got **** all else to spend without selling but that's clearly our next big job going off all the rumours this week, who we can flog to free up transfer funds and, imo more importantly, clear up the wage bill. I think it's in the plan to get one more player in still...
If we get either Fekir or Pulisic, our squad will be terrifying and so many formations we could play. Imagine an attacking system against a weaker team with Fabinho and Keita in midfield as a two with Mane, Pulisic and Salah ahead with Bobby up top. Still got Shaqiri and Sturridge on the bench with Gini, Hendo, Milner and Lallana ready too. Plus Ox when he returns.
I agree its all rather guess work, but football finances are all rather ethereal. If the club and owners decided they wanted a player I'm sure money could be found even ignoring sales.Completely ignoring wages, agent fees and having access to the accounts of course...![]()
Fekir deal is dead. We're too worried about his knees and Lyon wont budge on price, and why should they? They're in no desperate need to sell and Fekir hasn't really pushed it.I like Pulisic - huge playing and earning potential.
However, I really would love Fekir. He’s well ahead of pulisic (right now) in terms of ability and goal contributions. Fekir is a ready made player and Pulisic is a project.
I still hold hope that the Fekir deal is not dead.
