Not sure why Campbell or anyone else is bringing up what Klopp said when utd. bought Pogba as somehow him going back on his word.

Klopp said he wouldn't spend £100m on a single player - has he done that now ... no. He also said when he spends it's to build a team not to collect expensive players. Was Pogba's purchase a necessary purchase for the team or a vanity buy? That's what he was getting at. Klopp has made 2 expensive purchases since he came in desperately needy areas. Can you compare those buys to the Pogba buy?

Whether fees he has spent on a defender and a keeper are world records or not [and that's hardly Klopp's fault] he still hasn't spent £100m on one player. Wait till he does then criticise him.

They want to ignore the fact that times moved on and you can't get players now ofr less than 40mil.

When klopp said that 90mil was astounding.

the year after utd lashed another 90 at lukaku.

Now you can shovel any money ant any player. 140mil in for coutinho...


they just want to get at us cos they are scared.

ignore justifying anything just say.. so what? VVD style. and stick two fingers in their faces.

All those, like Campbell, who've criticised Klopp have stopped short on his original quote about buying expensive players. The whole quote goes on to say if he were to spend big it would be to make a team, not a collection of players - and that's exactly what he's done now. Like you can hold someone to something they said 2 years ago the way the market's been turned upside down!

So the journos spouted nonense about Danny Ward challenging for number one spot, and we went on to buy a new keeper and now Ward going to Leicester for around £12m.

Liverpool doing business behind closed doors. Good to see.

I was with a manc last night who said he's seriously worried we will win the PL this coming season <laugh>
