As I understand it, it's not the price but staggering the payments over appearances that is the issue? If Lyon can do better, then fair enough, we'll just have to swallow that one. We got a GOOD deal on Studge because of his injury record - but imagine we'd paid @£35m with no appearance clause? We're nudging £60m with Fekir, which is a lot to risk on a dodgy knee. Either they sell him for half of that, or stagger the payments based on appearances and/or medicals. If they can do better elsewhere, then that's a risk we have to take.

He might be talking about a different Egyptian. He doesn't mention Salah in the quote you posted.

Mind games so he sees how teams try and cope against salah and copy it next season for the scum.
 
So many conflicting reports on it. Passed medical, failed medical, never agreed a fee, tried to renegotiate fee.
